Rumor has it that Axl didn't want to play too many new songs because he knew they would be broadcasted and he didn't want that to happen I guess.

Actually, that makes no sense. He said the album is coming out this year, so here ?is his chance to start to promote ?by playing more ?new songs. The one, and only one, disappointment of the Rio show was that more new songs were not played. Other than that, the band that I have loved for years is BACK!!

Yeah I'm thinking this was the reason too.......look at Rio 3......that bootleg was one of the biggest selling ones out there in 2001. ?

But still.. Madagascar and Chinese Democracy have been played on almost every concert since 2001, including VMA (Madagascar). I really missed them

Yeah Sinshine, I think Axl was saving him for last, and forgot! ?

My highlights? ?KOHD was amazing...and I normally don't even like the song that much! ?YCBM, Patience, NR, OTGM, Nighttrain were awesome....and I really liked the You are Beautiful Finck/Fortus guitar duet.

Lowlight...IRS was brutal, it's a very tough song to sing live it appears. ?Better picked up as it went along. ?I wanted TWAT soooo badly! ? ? ?

I got in a little late, how was WTTJ? ?Wait, it's being re-played! ?Yes! ?beer ?beer ?beer ?Awesome!!!!!

BTW, you can't possibly think Axl should play more new songs. ?If the album's 6 months away, that would be the dumbest possible thing to do. ?ok

I also thought the LALD intro. was gonna bring Sir Paul out on stage with Axl! ? Wink

Yes Will, PC was way rushed...unfortunately.

one important question:
when the sound kept fucking up, was it due to the mix on the live feed or was it infact the sound people on the stage fucking it up?

I definitely saw a a better set on the 17th at Hammerstein. Great show tonight but I feel those fans deserved a few more tunes.

I can see this be very true. I would love to have heard some new songs tonight but we wait this long for such a great band and new cd a few more months is not going to hurt. It's going to be so great to buy it when it comes out and hear some songs for the first time. ?drool Then hear them on the us leg of the tour. ?Wink ?

Here's the WMA (audio stream), in a zip file: http://www.megaupload.com/?d=H4EL0CUZ

You can listen to it with Windows Media Player. It's the complete thing, with soundboard preparation, intro and outro (143 minutes). 130MB.
