I still miss Slash, but Axl is doing the rigth thing. In 2001 he try to be the old Axl but now he is trying to be himself more modern Axl.

I think the lineup is the strongest GNR has ever had.  Axl is great now.  Can't expect him to be a mirror of himself 20 years ago.  but a 44 year old Axl Rose can still kick as much ass.

The classic line up is just that.

The new line up kicks a lot of ass, but until we see what they are truly capable of creatively (ie, CD), its only fair to reserve judgement.

Classic GNR will always rule supreme, I think however this version of 2006 is far superior than the 2002 debacle.

For me it's not the old band or the new. ?Both bands were phenomenal, and both camps will tell you that. ?They are all artists, and will stick together. ?Duff and Tommy are pretty decent friends. ?I am personally done with, and tired of, the "old vs. new" baloney.  This is not sports, this is music, which is not "win or lose," or "blank and white."

I will say this, the vibe I get from the new guy's is so positive! ?It may be because they aren't twenty something punks anymore, or because they are involved with other bands I love. More than anything, though, I really dig some of the world peace organizations Robin supports, the New York hipsters Fortus play's with, the band Perfect, Primus, Tool, and the collective talent that embodies this version 2! ?Right now, I am digging the new band, and more than anything, digging their potential!!

I don't think the new band will ever surpass the old band, because they were lightning in a bottle.  But some of the songs the new band is producing stand up to the best work of the old band, particularly The Blues and TWAT

This is a dumb question, cause being from the time era GNR first came out, of course I loved the band, , have fond memories, sometimes shed a tear.lol, but since following the band through out this entire evolution, I agree with jim bob in that personally I have not seen a gnr show with such a strong cohesive lineup till I went and saw the first gig at hamerstein, May 12th 2006. an mind you that ws my 15th GNR show!. As much as I loved the ritz show and Felt forum show, I was at backin 87, when I was just 17 . My favorite top 3 shows of GNR are as  this, May 12th 2006, Hammerstein, FeltForum oct, 1987, Nasuau Collisum, june 1991.
