Axl is taking his old style which was flashy and over the top at times, the furs, the rings, the sports jackets, the belts, scarfs, bracelts and making it new, reinventing it again...it's certainly a hell of alot better then the Jerseys

Axl's new look sure beats the biker shorts and dressing like a baseball umpire.? He looks cool, his clothes look real expensive.

I did not mind the 02 style.
I think this style looks much better though.

I like his new look too. But I seem to remember him wearing a jersey at the Korn release party.

IMO Axl is looking his best , totally cool, and the rest of the band complement each other, totally rock n Roll!

I didn't mind the sports jerseys myself, but whatever floats your boat.
I really don't care for the braids, it makes him look older.

Axl has always had a cool look. Even at times during the much maligned 2002 look, you can't tell me he doesn't look cool here

He looks cooler in that shot than he does now.
He needs the bandana back, as you can see from that pic, it makes him look like a badass rockstar.
He ought to ditch those aviators he has now for the smaller sunglasses in that pic also.

I thought he looked his best at RIR 3 in 2001, without the braids and goatee.

Axl looks totally hot! He has always liked to dress with his own style. When I saw him at the Troubadour in '86 he used to wear chaps and a thong. He used to shake his ass and the girls went crazy. He may not dress the same on stage as he does everyday, but hell, who amongst us does! I'm a beautician and have to dress very clean and conservative during the day but in my down time I have always been and still am a hippy style dresser.

Overall I don't like the braids either. I do like them more now that they're alot shorter. I might be crazy but I think there's actually less of them now somehow too.
But I agree that at RIR3 he looked really cool.

I have a few pairs of jean that look like the ones he wears from a company called Take Two which cost around ?120/$225 a pair in the UK. I also have some True Religion jeans which are like that too, but they cost like ?265/$497 a pair.
This shirts I haven't seen in any shops. But when I used to see leather trousers in designer shops, ie the type Axl probably where these days, they cost between ?600-?3000!

And that's your first post?
Image has always been important to GNR. You think Slash wore the top hat to keep his hair out of his eyes? If Axl didn't care about what he looked like, or what the fans think about what he looks like, then he wouldn't do all the clothes changes during GNR concerts. Axl has said in interivews that he changes clothes for the fans. Just watch Civil War from the Illusion vids at the Toyko Dome.
Image and Clothes go hand in hand with rock n roll. Hence, why grunge took the polar opposite with the whole anti-image grunge look, which fizzled out pretty quickly but was an image/clothes trend all the same.

Hey all,
As I have looked through all the videos and pics of the latest concerts, and all the Hammerstein shows, I keep thinking in my head about how absolutely BADASS Axl looks now!!!!!
? Much much better than in 02 when he wore all the sports jerseys.? I have a couple jerseys myself, but just not the look that I would think to see from Axl.
That being said, I have looked around all over for a black leather/pleather shirt like what Axl has worn in the concerts so far, but to no avail.? ?I looked in the usual suspected places, such as Hot Topic, some leather stores, etc., but can't find anything even remotely similar.? Has anyone found a shirt like that somewhere, or know where I should look to get one?
By the way, when I told my wife I was looking for one, she first made fun of me for wanting to copy my rock star idol, but then confessed that if I had that shirt, and wore it when we went out, she would be all over me.? I HAVE TO HAVE ONE!!!!
And, no, I am not going to run out and get my hair braided into cornrows.? Idol worship should only go so far. . .
When in doubt always go to ebay....
