wish they would play a festival or two in the usa... Sucks to think they could tour for a while outside and still have no album to occupy the time

Very cool! I think this is a really smart move doing all these festivals and playing to the rock/metal fans to win the new band over with that crowd. Smart move not to do any US and shows at the same cities as last time.. he won't go back to those until after this first leg of European festivals and something is out.

I don't think overseas success means anything in comparison to america... Many bands do well in europe and are unknown in the usa.. Sure it works both ways too....

Yeah you're right mike.  But I think it's a good thing for you guys. When he does come to the US, I'm sure he'll be touring with an album or at least a single.

that's fuckin true ! but were talkin about gnr, a comebackband, their name is known all over the globe. well you know, i think its sth like a payback....4 years ago they canceled the most shows in europe...and now its our turn....in addition i think europe has the better summerfestivals....but don't worry they will rock the usa, asia and southamerica soon ! there is a warmer climate than in good old europe peace

usually yes, the last headliner. but GNR play the first night, and after midnight, so i don't know

but i am confident that they will broadcast their show, since it's the comeback of GN'R...

Mike, always with a negative slant.......America counts for 40% of worldwide record sales (don't ask where I got that I don't remember but it was off an industry website). That is a lot but you can be very successful if you get that other 60% as well!

ok a brief summary:

speculation ends: gnr are officially confirmed for rock am ring 2006

it all started with a joke: "gnr are always included in the grapevine". this was followed by endless collection of signatures and lots of jokes about a band, on which nobody really counted on.
then he talks about all the recent happenings, axl's public appearances and so on..

thrn he goes on like, if this could really happen? gnr playing RAR,and how big they were, and how often they cancelled shows in the past etc., and how CD has been delayed that often

then they quote marek lieberberg who said that they would be happy, but that nothing has been confirmed yet. but now it has been confirmed. but GNR will only play rock am ring and not rock im park, and this might upset lots of people..

and the last part says that GNR will turn the N?rburgring on friday night into Paradise City
