Has anyone one here ever had this procedure done to their ears and if so, did it work for you?

I feel as if my head is in a vaccum and sometimes, my ears will close up, ring, and due to incessant sinus problems, I thought maybe ear candling would help.

Any advice would be appreciated.

Make sure to read these links: http://www.straightdope.com/classics/a5_098.html & http://www.nowtoronto.com/issues/2005-01-13/goods_health_p.html

In essence, it doesn't work.  The best bet is to get one of those 'ear wax removal kits' and use it 2 or 3 times in a row for your best results.  Don't wind up burning your eardrums for nothing.

I have, many times and I love it.

I use it as prevent ear infections and cleansing. I don?t know if it actually works, but it feels good.

I think being near the speaker at Hammerstein and hearing BFMV damaged my hearing hihi

Back on topic, I have friends who said it does work.

Of course doctors are going to downplay ear candling because it takes away a visit to the ENT.

But, my luck, I'd be that one patient who get their ears burned no

Don't do it. Clean your ear like you were shown when you were a kid. Your body will expel anything that's not supposed to be there. Everyone needs to quit fucking with nature. Your ears are meant to have wax......leave it there.
