OK, was it me, or did Robin and Richard have their pickup selectors removed, while Ron had his in the usual spot. What gives?

Robin has his selector in one of the knobs, Richard was in the usual place as far as I could see.

Did you know Ron won that les paul in a competition that he won when he was younger! Caused some problems though because he was over the age limit to enter but still got in

The kind of silver/metallic black one yeah. How does he get the acoustic sound?
I'm assuming some sort of magic pickup..

Acoustic sound can be done by piezo pickups.
For example Slash has one in his signature Les Paul. It's not _that_ expensive, but not worth installing into a low priced guitar. You can google it up.

Nice.. Do acoustic simulators require a piezo bridge too, or do they construct the sound from a normal pickup?

they construct the sound from any normal pickup in an electric guitar. the rhythm guitarist in my band has one, they're pretty cool

Didn't Richard have a Gibson LP Studio also? I remember seeing him play it (RIR 2006?) Or maybe it was the Special...?
