i dont know about yous lot but every time i hear it as an opening intro the drawn out 1st cords it always gives me goosebumps i think its the anticipation of a whole show to come, it doesnt matter what show i listen too just always does it to me i can imagine being in the crowd waiting and then hearing it all start how about the rest of you does it make you feel the same would you rather they used other songs to open like nighttrain or even a brand new one

Jungle as the opener is as stale as a year old loaf of bread. Using that as the opener just tells you all the songs that are coming up next. These setlists are so predictable everyone knows them by heart.

Personally I have always thought the WTTJ and PC are the greatest songs ever to open and close with. ? In the past old GNR didn't always open with Jungle..but IMO it's great opener. ? ? ?It gave me goosebumps too seeing them at Hammerstein and even when I watch boots or hear audio of it...same thing.

i enjoy it... its cool but i know it will be played first...
i liked the way bucket played it at 01.. the first notes only... then paused... then again... gradualy playing it ... i liked that alot....
its a good opener... and PC is a good closer but all the rest of the set could change.

If they were to change it, I'd like to see them open with Chinese Democracy.

this is true. ?you have to change things up as much as possible imo based on the fact that we are hearing vitually the same set since 2001. my biggest concern is that when they come to chicago in the fall or winter i will be seeing the new york shows or worse yet, seeing the 2002 show again. ? ?

The NA tour will never make it to Chicago if they're using this same setlist. Rehash is for stereos and county fairs, not GNR U.S. tours.

Opening with WTTJ is nice. It's an immdediate rush of excitement as soon as you hear the opening chords of the song. Makes me want to explode into happiness, scream, and yell.
The only other song I could see them opening with from the new band would be Chinese Democracy. It's the only up tempo song that could get the crowd up on their feet.

they're a new band, they should open with a new song. I think personally Chinese Democracy would be a killer opener, the new version's got a killer intro. but I actually thought it should have been the opener in 2002 too. the way Robin plays the new intro kinda resembles the way he starts with WTTJ, kinda teasing the audience of what to come, and then bust into the song!
