why is it so damn difficult for you to just accept his comments without burying them with conspiracies and bullshit?
Why is it so difficult for you to not jump on every post I make? I wasn't "burying them with conspiracies and bullshit". Thats what YOU choose to see in the comments. If you have nothing intelligent to say when responding to me, then don't even bother.

You have had tendancies in the past
I seem to recall in 2002 you had some hilarious ideas about CD not existing and Axl scamming us all
On the topic of
Beautiful
, it makes for a great duet between the two guitarists. The "why" is irrelevant when the "what" is so good.

you remember that? Those were some great theories weren't they?
Until the album is released, no one can disprove any of the points I made in concern to that.

I remember it like it was yesterday
Luckily, the four-year gap has probably rescued your credibility because by the time the album is released no-one will remember who said what. Hell, when we have the cd in our hands we'll probably forget our own names. They're going to need crisis centers at record stores to deal with the GNR fans going into shock and having seizures, still clutching our copies of the album.

The Beautiful song is no different than the Godfather solo. Different strokes for different folks.
You know I actually thought that same thing yesterday. Whereas Slash might love the Godfather theme, these guys might just love playing this tune. I personally think it sounds great.

I dont understand why they play that song either. Maybe its some sort of inside joke or something,
.......the gothic freak look.......
Tommy has said it's all about not being pigeonholed, refering to GNR.
Finlandia early20th? classical
I feel good 50s? funk?
Ziggy stardust 70s glum
Don't cry 90s rock
Beautiful early 21th pop
I think its a little more personal than that. I'm sure Axl didnt wake up and say,"Hey, I dont want us to be pigeonholed. Pick a solo from anyone you want so we are not pigeonholed". I think it goes a little deeper than that.
Maybe Axl just likes the song. Maybe Axl had sex with her in the past and he is paying tribute to her. Also, someone mentioned Finck always liked her.
how deep are these?

I understand what you mean about Stinson's comments, but I think he was referring to Chinese Democracy and the quality of the songs on the album, and the direction of the music.
I didn't say Axl suddenly got the idea and told them to do this and that.
I'm pretty sure Tommy was referring to the band and the whole project.
It's all natural that in the band that doesn't want to be pigeonholed, each member is open minded.
I'd imagine solos were done by band consensus and they played what they like.

That did nothing to hurt my "credibility". All points I made were valid, and no one could disprove what I said, or even debate the issue in an intelligent way. They could find no facts to back up their insults, so they moved on to an easier topic to debate. It wasn't even as far back as 2002. It was late 2004/early 2005 I think.

I dont consider 'I Feel Good' to be "deep". Like I said, its probably just songs that have some special meaning to Axl or some of the band members.

actually the whole CD that beautiful came from is a good fucking listen
sure i call her Christine Skankuliara but that doesn't take away from the fact she's got a great fucking voice.....
she even wrote or co-wrote about 3/4 of the 18-19 songs on the album

A few studio sessions can create a few demos. Like I said, my points made way back then are still valid. But we are way off topic. If you two are interested in another round of 'CD is a myth', maybe you should start another thread about it.
I'm not saying I still believe it doesn't exist, but until the album is in everyone's hands it still remains a possibility. Most recent person to question its existence is Kurt Loder.

I'll make sure to have a cardiologist and EMT team on standby when i go to the record store to buy my copy

Linda Perry is an amazingly creative singer/songwriter, and if she were to be involved with Guns N' Roses in any way other than the cover of "Beautiful" I'd be even more excited to hear the new album.

I have to say, as much as I hate all that contrived manufactured pop shit, I actually like that one song.
Christina Aguilera might be a contrived manufactured pop whore, but that one song is real, and I like it.
People shouldn't say "Oh noes! Gn'R played a CHRISTINA AGUILERA SONG!! They're turning POP!! NOOO!" because if they say that, it just proves what ignoramuses they really are.
Just because its a pop song doesn't mean that Guns N' Roses can't play it!! Hell, it doesn't even mean that fuckin' Morbid Angel or Deicide can't play it if they don't want to!!
Music is music.
What I'm trying to say is that it doesn't matter whether the original song was pop/trance/emo/classical/dance/whatever, if its a good song, and it'll sound good as a rock version, then there is NO REASON why a rock band shouldn't play it. They'll probably make it better.
So don't get pissed off that Gn'R played it. Be pleased!
Would love to hear Deicide cover it!!! CLASSIC!

Richard and Robin playing that song was one of the best parts at Rio IMO. I hate the original song but they made it orgasmic.
Yes, I said orgasmic.
Yup I saw the vid of that last night. I nearly had to go knock one out afterwards.
