If Aguilera isn't tasting good, how about the classical music that Robin played before SCOM, a piece called Finlandia by Jean Sibelius?
(Yeah, I'm still trying to get it acknowledged because I seem to be the only one who noticed or knew the song! And people are adding all the jamesbrowns and don'tcrys and christinaaguileras on their setlists for the solo spots, but I don't see no Sibelius there anywhere for Robin's first solo. Do I have to start another annoying topic to get some fame for a fellow Finn here? You know, we DID win the Eurovision song contest, too!)

Brittany Spears and N'sync
...im sure he picked up
Christina Aguileras
"beautiful" song somewhere along the lines of the era....it sounded cool and i like how robin and him just jam out...reminds me of izzy/gilby and slash!
Those names along with covering any material have no place in hard rock.
Yeah, it'd be terrible if they covered a song by a pop band like, say... Wings.

it's not a cover, as far as i can tell i've googled the lyrics and the only artist that comes up is christina, she didn't write the song as i mentioned above, but she seems to be the only artist to have recorded it.

Hi friends!!! i?ve been in the Madrid and Lisboa concerts and i wonder if anybody noticed that in the Richard Fortus/Robin Fink solo they play that Christina Aguilera?s song called "Beautiful"...Why? Good Lord! Why? hate that song!!! and what about Robin?s new look? he looked like a homeless or maybe Jesuschrist Superstar!!!!
I'm not her biggest fan but I really like the melody of that song. I think the way they play it together is really cool. I also think that it's cool that they play something like that just cuz they like it even though it could be viewed as "uncool".
As far as Robins look goes, I was always trying to defend him to stupid people because of his old look. In that respect I'm glad he changed it (for the stupid people). I personally could care less if he took the stage in a diaper as long as he played his heart out which he does so I'm happy!

Thats the worst post Ive ever seen here. People who dont like the goth look are stupid? You wouldnt like it either, but since Finck did it its the best thing since the invention of the wheel.

People who says that it's lame that they are playing it are just some stupid closed minds people. I don't like Aguilera, I just HATE her!!!!!!! But I've got to admit: if she had always focus her carrer in songs like Beautiful, instead of shits like "Let's get dirty", she would be more respected, because that "Beautiful" song is indeed a good song...and isn't a shame to admit that!

Robin & Richard are simply electrifying each and every time they play this song.
You dont even need Christina singing the words since to me it sounds like their guitars are singing for them...
I definately hope they keep playing it, or maybe throw in another cover here and there..maybe take off KOHD or L&LD since no one is a stranger to those two songs...
You just gotta love the chemistry between those two though...so thick you could cut it with a knife...

Thankfully, I've never heard the Christina Aguilera version of this song, so I am not biased against it. All I know is when those 2 play the song together, it moves me
It's possibly the most soulful thing I've ever experianced live.

Nope Linda Perry wrote it.
http://www.ascap.com/playback/2003/fall/perry.html
Unless you can provide a source saying Richard wrote it, coz I can't find any page saying anything like that. On the Barnes & Noble it lists all the musicians who played on that album and no mention of Fortus, although Dave Navarro did.
It's a decent song and the guitar version is brilliant, but this is Guns N' Roses, once the most dangerous band in the world. What the hell has gone wrong in the last ten years?

Huh? I in no way said that people that don't like goth are stupid. What I said was that people that don't like how someone plays guitar based off their looks are stupid. I also in no way implied that I like goth at all. I like Robins playing.
Speaking of stupid posts......go ahead and read yours again.
