I really dont like drum solo's, but I think this one showed those who doubted brain what he could do. Also I liked the lead in to YCBM.

i swore some of it sounded identical to his playing during BH's solos in 2002.
and i agree, Brain rocks-but drum solos are boring as hell.

I thought it was pretty damn good. I watched that concert with quite a few people last night, and others were even saying how great it was, and they aren't even hardcore GNR fans. I also like the fact how it didnt become monotonous like the old UYI sorum solos. Brain seems to know the perfect time for a drum solo before people start to become bored with it.

I dont think anyone is disputing that. Obviously, Axl is having Brain do the drum solo also. I dont think band members are just going to start soloing out of the blue. |

His solo on that dvd was so boring. Atleast Brain had a beat going, unlike Sorum, who just tried to hit everything he possibly could. |

I think you're in the minority here. Dizzy's piano solo was awesome and the little jam sessions were great. Drum solos are boring to me though no matter how good the drummer is |
