My friends uncle got two. Great dogs, trained good.

What I've been around rotrweilers I find them people friendly, sure it's a watch dog and may not like someone entering your yard, but that can be trained away by making the dog used to it, if you like.

I'm sure the only "problem" is that it might not come along with other males, having a high self-esteem, but that's about all I can think off.

Also I haven't heard that there's would be any problems if you take the rottweiler as a puppy and it got another dog as company. I got two dogs, mixed-breeds, and it's fun to see how good friends they are.

Ive had one for about 7 years now and it has never attacked anyone. It really depends on how the dog is treated, if its treated bad and chained up all the time it's going to be agressive. Its its treated good and allowed to roam around a fenced in yard etc, it isnt going to attack anyone. Mine doesnt even bark if a stranger comes around. But the most important thing is, you have to make sure the dog gets lots of exercise. Rotties get pretty damn big (mines about 180 pounds) so they have to be walked alot.
What do you mean treated bad, like beaten or not given attention?

I probably just answered my own question anyway, lol.

Yeah, they need lots of attention but also dont tease them.
