IS it just me or is the soundboard for Rio all fucked up....some songs you can barely hear Axl, other songs the guitars are overpowering everything and on the blues it was all SNARE drum, until the end when someone turned up Robins guitar for the solo and it was louder than everything....

I could barely hear Axl on Rocket Queen

what a bloody mess!? ? crying

That was sure interesting!

Performance wise, Axl and co. gave 100%!

They all seemed to be really into it, especially with Nightrain and Paradise City.

SOUNDBOARD wise though, it was absolutley terrible.

Seriously, the way the sound-desk was managed tonight is a fire-able offence! VERY poor sound levelling on nearly all songs, bar the last few, to be honest.

But a brilliant performance, where (where i could hear it) Axl's voice is a world better again Smiley

Yeah the first few songs sounded good and so did the last few, but everythink in between was totally fucked up (by the mixer not the band)

IRS: you could barely hear Axl for any of it. SCOM: If you can hear the solo then you deserve a medal cos I couldn't hear shit.

In some songs I could literally hear Dizzy playing BONGOS louder then I could the guitars. And also what's with all the sound effects, you could barely hear any of the guitar work for half the songs (and thats saying somethink since there is 3 guitarists you would think we could hear one of them well)

Axls voice was either too quiet or too loud.

The band performed great but who ever was in charge of the sound needs firing.

And sadly, had the sound folks done their job right, the band would have sounded that much better.

I honestly wonder if the crowd was as dead as they seemed, or if that was the shitty sound as well.

I dont think its Chris Pittman's fault.

Correct me if Im wrong, but dont off-stage technicians and engineers normally control the mixing? As far as I know, Pittman deals with the effects of the sounds during song. Err, right?

Was it like that LIVE though?

Axl didn't react to it, even when his mic cut out completely. Neither did Ron Thal as he was silently (On the AOL stream anyway) busting out a solo. I think it may just have been in the stream, it will be interesting to hear the reaction of the people at the show.

The second half was amazing. November Rain was stunning, YCMB too. Big Kudos to Ron Thal for playing Don't Cry, the crowd loved that.

A FANTASTIC show.
