Although it was pretty short, the band was much tighter and Axl was incredible tonight, RIR5 all the way!

Neither were the best they have ever played, but I bet everyone and their brother would have booed someone out of the building if they told you in 2001 the only difference in the setlists between 2001 and 2006 was like 2 songs. Pretty sad when you think after 5 years all we have to show for the time is the few new ones we have. I really hope CD is on the horizon, because this was the absolute last time they can play this type of festival and just rehash what's already been done to this extent.

holy shit.
RIR5 was pretty intense
YCBM solo was in a word blistering.
Out ta get me sounded fucking powerful as hell....
jeezus christ.....Nighttrain just reaffirmed my belief in this band as an entity separate from the orig GNR.
Bumble was nothing short of ungoddamned real on that song.....and axl sounded almost as good as I've ever heard.
not to say there weren't some soft spots.
but GNR definitely kicked ass.

Funny I didn't know it was an excuse. Just sounds like sour grapes, and you're so biased against it, you can't even think clearly. Even though it didn't sound the best.

I thought it was the weakest performance I've seen from the new band so far (and I've been to 4 shows and listened to every bootleg). A couple songs sounded great, Nightrain especially, but Axl is sounding just like he did in 2002, and some songs, like Better, had absolutely terrible vocals. I'm not just talking about the mixing problems either. Also, this is probably the shortest set the new band has played aside from the acoustic gig, is it not? The solos all sounded fine, but having every member of the band perform a solo is fucking boring. Especially when you're cutting a whole bunch of songs out of the set!

Easy. Robin's better by a mile now, Fortus is way more accustomed performer than Paul Huge and Ron Thal is - how should I say - a better fit than Bucket. This version of the band looks, sounds and feels tight. Those jams were great.
Most of all, Axl felt most assured on his group and himself than in RIR3. Noticed the bottle? That's an entrance for you, a joyous low-key rock star detail.
Welcome back, Rock Star.
