When you come alone we will wait you up so that its a lot  nicer to come, then when you come alone.

Where staying in the hardrockcafe till we go to the festival so maybe we can meet there....taxis/caps are very cheap in lissabon/lisboa....for 8 euros from the cafe to the playgarden Grin ....last time we met alot of different fans from all around the world there.so when no ones wants to come with you, still come and we will make it happen overthere! greatinx from holland.

Really? You would do that? I'm not too young then..? cause I would looove to go, if I don't have to do it alone...

Great news to hear GnR are touring again, fat fucking chance for me to get over to Lisbon though, I'd love to, but money and parents will be in the way. Hopefully Axl hits up a few more spots in Europe in the coming months, i.e Dublin, I'll be there, first row in that case. But yeah good luck to GnR for RIR!

I feel your pain... GRR MONEY & PARENTS!!!  rant

in 2004 i put up Gn'r convention at the hard rock cafe here in lisboa. i remember kiki missed it by a day and ended up having dinner there on the next day, which i missed as well!
it was a great time, i had my gn'r tribute band on stage that night for a 2 hour set, and HRC played some dvd compilations i made from 8 PM till it was closed.
At the time HRC said it was their 2nd best night ever - at some point they had to close the doors since it was packed.
I'm sure we can do that again. Gn'R are palying on a saturday. it would be cool to have the party on thursday or friday, but friday i guess it's the roger waters show, so i don't knwo if anybody wants to see that.
Plus, i'll be trying my best to get the party to the knowledge of the band, and HRC is close to both Ritz and Meridian hotels, which is probably where they'll be satying, so maybe we can get some of the band members to come to the party.
the shit is that we don't have a singer for the gn'r band anymore, since we're also an originals band (kidnap - www.kidnaprocks.com)? and i don't know if i could fit in axl's shoes.
i'll try to find one.
it'll be fun to do the covers show again. it was a blast 2 years ago!

The party sounds great- ive committed myself to a three trip in america at the time of the show but I may be able to get out there and then go to america from there! Just wondering how much its gonna be roughly from London for a couple of nights?! flights aswell. If anyone has any ideas that would be great.

Only the price is a little bit more... so the costs for junkfood and beer has to be a little less  Tongue

near hard rock, like 5/10 minutes walking there's an Ibis Hotel. the room there is 66 euros a night (for 2 guys), and it's an ok hotel (3 stars i guess).
it's very central, there's subway really close (which you'll take to go to the festival).
and it's like 3 or 4 blocks away from what i guess Axl will be staying at (ritz or meridian).

http://www.ibishotel.com/ibis/fichehotel/gb/ibi/3137/fiche_hotel.shtml

there's a lot of hotels at the area, both expensive and cheap. just google it

oh, and for cheap flights from london to lisboa, try flymonarch.com or easyjet.com
lisboa only has one airport, other airports in portugal with international flights are porto and faro, but both are 300 km away and it'll end up being more expensive for sure.
