Sounds pretty impressive IMO compared to past efforts from him. Got tickets to see them next month.

the albums good, i saw them live pretty cool live act. i like the whole concept of finding beauty in disaster and moving on etc..

The word HORRID comes to mind when I think about this band. Watched their concert on Fuse and it was pretty embarrassing.

Pretty much, yeah.
For a start practically the whole band were in darkness anyway, apart from Tom Delonge. He did some stupid dancing every now and then, but that was just embarassing.

i've met these guys and apart from Tom they all seemed to be pretty nice. it was at a Sunrise Records autograph signing and to be honest the cd sucks! down right the worst thing i've ever heard.IMO.

 I really dig the sound of the music on this album. It definately has an extreme U2 vibe to it, but Tom's voice sounds so juvenile. I mean I hear it and think of Blink 182 and I'm always waiting for the next line in the song to be some kind of fart joke. Angels and Airwaves sound too big for his vocals. the music has atmosphere and emotion in it but his voice sounds like a run of the mill pop/punk band. Having said that Angels and Airwaves sound a million times better than Blink 182 ever did in my opinion.

Hahahahaha!! Sorry but I just read this on their myspace site: "some of the best anthems U2 forgot to include on the Joshua Tree"

I mean because of the sound the comparison to the U2 style is unavoidable but that review is just getting carried away. Tom's said some outlandish things about this band but he's trying to build interest and he's excited about his band but for a paid music reviewer to say the songs fit on Joshua Tree is hilarious. I do like this album though, but like I said before the music is too big for his voice. he doesn't have the soul to compliment the music. It's like it sounds incomplete
