I was browsing through this killer Rock Encylopedia laying around the station today, and in it was a pretty funny Axl mention by Mister Don Henley of the Eagles while reflecting back on 1989's "The End of Innocence" which I thought was worth mentioning:

Don: "Lyrically our song is about raging hormones. It's about a young man whose been spurned by a young lady. It's about not giving up. It's about pluck and having the fighting spirit."

"To that end, it was Koctch's idea to bring in Axl Rose to sing harmony."

"I was having a lot of flashbacks when Axl came into the studio because I knew how I felt when I was twenty-two or twenty-three and went in to sing on other people's records who'd been doing it for a long time."

"I was scared to death sometimes, but I also had alot of nerve, and so does Axl."

"He stood there and sang for hours until he got a migraine headache. We had to make him stop singing."

"His voice is like a chainsaw." ok

The book is called Rock Lives by Timothy White BTW if anyone is interested.? beer

Idk if he sang on that song, (or if it was just the name of the album), but Axl sings in the chorus of "I Will Not Go Quietly"  He's fuckin awesome!

Is there a list available of non-GNR albums/songs that Axl has performed on?

If not, we should make one.

its in there.

a couple years back i stumbled across this song because i was listening to some old Geffen sampler CD i found and was trying to decide what songs i rip off of it and add to the old iPod. When the chorus of this song came up i was like 'that woman's voice sounds familar, actually that woman sounds like axl, wait a second, thats axl!'.

long story short, good song. enjoy.

To be honest, I never even heard Axl on the track until I read the credits in album booklet.  You really have to listen to hear him.
