sorry just i really hate the NME and the fact they don't get behind anything decent! there quick to get behind a band and then yank em down, i just the bands they kiss up to their nothing special e.g futueheads, maxio park, libertines etc.
and another thing can't they say in a little line he is a great front man n songwriter wouldn't of hurt!

If you want info about rock music you don't go to NME it offers nothing of any worth unless you're into indy music. Axl did well to get into the NME's top 50 considering, although I think Zane Lowe is a fan of GNR so that might explain it.
Out of interest is Pete Doherty even well known outside of the UK?

What I don't understand is that this obviously an international list so it has to be the worlds biggest rock icons, so leading the charge from the UK, Pete Doherty. He's ahead of Mick Jagger and Ozzy ffs. It's laughable when you think that lump of shit has beaten Ozzy and Mick in such a list
