Are we sure that is BH? Has management commented at all on that?

I don't think it's been 'officially' confirmed, however anyone who is a fan of Bucketheads solo work will instantly recognise the 2nd solo as his work. The first solo in the song I believe is by Robin.

From what I remember Fortus only had a couple leads, he was mostly rhythm.

Did anyone else notice that Bumblefoot was off stage through all of November Rain until his solo? Not sure what the point of it was, but it was run the same way each night.

Fortus is not really a lead guitar player. At least not for a huge rock band like Guns. Maybe, we should judge him better on his back-up solos or rhythm guitar stuff. Just a thought.

I just noticed him playing the outro , ending of nr..  Being in the wave of people on the floor each night sometimes makes it hard to see, plus the stage is filled with people...

I kind of noticed he wasn't there on the 12th. The 14th I was trying to stay alive also. The final two nights in the Mezz I was able to notice more things. Ron stays off stage until Axl starts in on the final part of NR. It could be he's just catching a rest. He was out on stage throughout the whole show almost. The only other time he went off that I remember was when Robin and Richard did their "Beautiful" jam.

Fortus did take turns at lead but probably 90% of what he played was rhythm. Loved his energy. Almost a Pete Townsend style of attacking the guitar when he plays.

Still, the star of all 4 nights for me was Robin, I liked his style before, but getting to experience him live was really frigging cool.

Quote
Fincks solo in 'Better'.

I like the intro one which is the motif of the song. it will be one of the most memorable solo.

I also like that capping the climax bit by BH. It spices up the bittersweetness of the main motif. like a sip of strong espresso for belgian chocolate cakes. confused

I remember your words AxlsMainMan. Robin is indeed a great melodymaker. beer

Axl can articulate his deepest thoughts and emotions through his voice and lyrics, much alike how Robin does so through the melodies and riffs he writes, but most of all, with how he translates those ink blotches on paper into raw, flawless emotion on stage Cheesy

My respect (and now Love) of Finck's playing has shot up recentley, on hearing the Hammerstein gigs and the demo's that got leaked.

I now listen to the 2002 era stuff and love it too.

he's really deep, and generally great

I also WORSHIP Buckethead. big fan of his solo stuff

As for the topic, i love Bucket's better solo, and Finck's part of C.D.

Does anyone sort of miss Robin's goth image?

I love the Jesus look, but i just thought the shaved head into a ponytail/braids with the ol' hockey stick sideburns was pretty sweet...

At the very least maybe he can still wear the skull t-shirts, and bandanas Cheesy

Hammerstein

i gotta stick up for my main man bumble here! i actually liked some of the solo's he did. you gotta give the guy credit for the short time he's had in the band to rehearse. and he really puts his heart into his playing, you can tell thats what he lives for! thought it was nice to see him shaking the hands of the fans throughout aswell, its nice when a musician connects with the fans like that.... much like robins crowd surfing  ok

loved robins solo's as well by the way  beer
