So looks like it's gonna be Avenged Sevenfold, at least in Czech...

Who are these guys?
I live in N. America and I have no clue who they are... please tell me it's not some emo rock crap, I don't want the kids in the front row slashing their wrists in time with the music.

haha nice one kyrie.. but i doubt GNR would tour with an emo group... even tho i dont know who avenged is... whatever does it really matter? im just at the show to see GNR ne ways so who cares who plays first there just there to hype the crowd.. and GNR wouldnt pick anyone who wont do so...

Cause Axl anticipated on beeing quoted. Therefore communicated with the fans in an indirect manner. He knew.

Avenged Sevenfold are a poser band. They're obsessed with trying to be as Gn'Rlike as possible, without being a tribute band, and without the talent.
They also all wear the same thing, and you can't distinguish the bandmembers from each other as they have no personal style, they're just going by what they think is "cool" and should reeeeally fuck the hell off. They're NOTHING on Gn'R and never will be! EVER!
I'd rather see Gn'R tour with Bitchney Spears than with Avenged. That way, she'd get murdered by the amount of broken glass bottles chucked at her at full force from an angry crowd, and we'd get to see Gn'R afterwards!! What an awesome show!! A murdered globally-hated manufactured pop abomination, and a legendary band coming back after a decade and a half of waiting!

Briefly returning to the thread title, manoman am I glad its NOT motley crue. In the words of that chap from Good Morning Vietnam, they "suck the sweat off a dead man's balls!" Oh and Im pretty sure Bill Hicks said something derogatory about them as well, and Bill knows all. Those plonkers have leached off guns enough during the 80's.

Actually they have pretty talented guitarists and a drummer. And I am not a fan really.

Avenge isn't a bad rock band from the little I've heard of them. I have to admit, the strippers with the snake tongues in their video hooked me into that song

buckcherry...a HIGHLY underrated band that deserves the recognition....they just got back together and have a new album coming out...much like gnr, they are on a comeback....plus their old school rock style would be a good fit
I LOVE buckcherrys first and second disc and Josh Todd's solo stufff...but have you heard the new album? ....?
? ?I was really really disappointed.
are you nuts? their new album is supposed to be their best yet...and todd's solo stuff wasn't that great...
maybe you should give it another listen...because everyone says it kicks ass

People in the Czech Repbulic are in for a helluva ticket. Avenged Sevenfold are an awesome straight up rock band. Their dual guitarists are awesome together and sound really different. I'd kill for them to support GNR in America...

My band got the invite to play with Buckcherry on the 14th... and we said no!!!!!!!!
O well...
On topic.. ax7 is an AWESOME band for GNR to tour with. Im sorry. You can hate the bands "style" or whatever.. and you can even dislike some of the music.. but they will bring the kids to GNR shows.
GNR needed a "cool" band to tour with.. and hopefully ax7 is it.

I'm still hoping for a GN'R/NIN tour. That "Chinese Democracy" thing over at NIN.COM was never resolved...

Alice Cooper, The Screaming Jets, and Guns N' Roses should do a few shows together. That would kick so much arse.
