yeah it was pretty dangerous up close... the floor can be pretty insane sometimes!

He should just make all the US shows at Hammerstein, god i love that place,

where ever they are though, i just hope the floor will be GA Standing

I guess you weren't one of those pinned to the railing up front. Hammerstein on the 12th was unbearable on the floor for many people.

I was in the thick on the 12th, but crushed on the rail on the right side on the 17th. Though I wouldnt have it any other way, the moshing pit was direectly behind me, though I have to say , even 4 days later, my ribs, and muscles I didnt even know existed were still sore!

Lots of people I know are hoping for Canadian dates. I'm sure they'll happen. If the album is as successful as we all hope for, I'm sure they'll tour for 2 or 3 years like for UYI. I think Axl said something to that effect before as well. I'd like them to hit all the coasts in Canada and ofcourse down here in Detroit ASAP!

That's why I switched to Mezz 1, although I did almost fall over the rail 3 times since i was dancing and rocking so hard!

I also hope they break the touring up so they have maybe 8-10 shows, a short break and then more shows to give Axl some vocal rest.

A US tour would be spectacular, but after the Hammestein shows, arenas and stadiums just won't be the same...

Im wondering what sized venues as well - I guess it will depend on how well CD is received? Or will they start out small?  Arenas seem a tad too large straight off the bat

I'm in Calgary as well. Don't think there's a chance after Axl got booed off the stage here last time. He vowed never to return to Calgary, and I thought that was why they played Edmonchuk instead??? Vancouver, well they'd probably have to play Pacific Coliseum or somewhere's else. I'd go to Vancouver, Calgary, Edmonton, Saskatoon, etc., etc. As long as it's close and cheap to stay at I'm in. Will also go to anywhere in Ontario (friend lives there).

I gotta assume there'll be several Ohio stops. I'm guessing at least Columbus and Cleavland plus maybe Cincinatti (sp?). But here in Michigan I'm sure we'll only get one stop at the most!

I doubt it.  I would expect one Ohio show, if any, in Cleveland.  I don't think they are going to make the same mistake they did in 2002--which was booking way too many shows.  If I was GNR, I would hit the largest regional centers.   I think, they should play Philly, Chicago, Seatle, LA, Miami, NY, Dallas, Atlanta, San Francisco, Las Vegas, and Denver.  If they book dates in secondary markets like Minneapolis, KC, Phoenix, St. Louis, it should be in theatres like the Hammerstein--and maybe book two nights in the larger cities of those markets.

If they tour the U.S., they better ensure that they keep demand high, unlike 2002 where there were too many dates and seats to choose from.  Just my two cents.

It's So Easy....

« Reply #78 on: May 24, 2006, 12:15:21 AM »

When they play the NYC area again they should also consider the PNC in NJ...not as cozy as the Hammerstein but not as overwhelming as MSG...I've seen several concerts there and its always a great night, especially if it's a nice night seeing as its outdoors.  Has a lawn area for SRO....I'll be traveling the entire tri-state area next time  hihi
