For Immediate Release

GUNS N' ROSES STORM NEW YORK

SOLD OUT SHOWS, GUEST STARS & FANATIC AUDIENCES

NEXT UP - EUROPEAN TOUR

They're back!!!

Guns N' Roses - whose shows at New York's Hammerstein Ballroom sold out
in less than 3 minutes - have reclaimed the throne that was always
theirs. From stellar reviews to audience adulation, Guns N' Roses' New
York shows proved that they are back in a big way.

Concert goers weren't let down as Axl Rose and band mates Tommy Stinson
(bass), Richard Fortus (guitar), Robin Finck (guitar), Chris Pitman
(keyboard), Dizzy Reed (keyboard), Brain (drums) and new guitarist Ron
"Bumblefoot" Thal (who has only been in the band for two weeks!) burned
through Guns N' Roses classics such as "Welcome to the Jungle,"
"Paradise City," "My Michelle," "Mr. Brownstone," "November Rain" and
"Sweet Child O' Mine." The final show at Hammerstein found the band
joined by one time Guns' guitarist Izzy Stradlin on "Think About You,"
"Patience" and "Night Train," which also included an enthusiastic Kid
Rock coming onstage to join the band.

Over the four nights, audiences were also treated to nearly half of the
band's upcoming new album, Chinese Democracy, with live performances of
"Chinese Democracy," "Better," "There was a Time," "Madagascar," "IRS"
and "The Blues."

The four shows, which took place on May 12, 14, 15 & 17th, were the talk
of New York City, with fans and famous faces such as Matthew Perry,
Mickey Rourke, Drea De Matteo, Lenny Kravitz, Jamie Lynn Sigler, Fred
Durst, Sebastian Bach, Ethan Hawke, Jay Z, Jimmy Fallon, Maxwell and
Sean Penn to name a few, paying homage to one of the greatest bands in
Rock n' Roll. Each night was a celebration on stage, which would then
continue off stage with parties at Sixes and Eights, Bungalow 8, Butter,
G Spa, The Marquee Lounge and The SoHo House.

The band ended their New York jaunt with a surprise acoustic performance
at The Plumm for actress Rosario Dawson's birthday party. The band's
scorching performance, which left the way beyond capacity crowd
screaming for more and gasping for air well into the wee hours of the
morning, had birthday girl Dawson commenting of Rose: "They've never
played all acoustic, this is history in the making, how much does this
fucking man rock?!"

The N.Y concerts were warm up shows for the European leg of the band's
forthcoming tour, which starts May 25th in Madrid at Juan Carlos Arena.

For the upcoming tour, Guns N' Roses are playing a mixture of headline
Festival appearances including Rock In Rio in Portugal, Download at the
UK's famed Castle Donington, Rock Am Ring in Germany, Gods Of Metal in
Italy, Novarock in Austria, Graspop in Belgium, Roskilde in Denmark, A
Heavy Day In The Park in Holland as well as their own headlining indoor
shows in Madrid, Budapest, Prague, Warsaw, Paris, Zurich, Stockholm,
Oslo and Helsinki, most of which have been instant sellouts.

But nothing beats the home turf of the US or New York City. W. Axl Rose
commented, "We've just finished our 4 shows in New York and had an
amazing time. New York has always been special and it feels great to be
doing this again particularly in front of so many friends. I am very
excited about Europe and getting back over here in September."

This is the correct one.

WHOA!!!!

Over the four nights, audiences were also treated to nearly half of the band's upcoming new album, Chinese Democracy, with live performances of "Chinese Democracy," "Better," "There was a Time," "Madagascar," "IRS" and "The Blues."

I guess the 13 tracks are pretty official at this point.

High Res anyone?

http://mms.businesswire.com/bwapps/mediaserver/ViewMedia?mgid=69215&vid=5

Or maybe they are just gessing these songs will be on the album as no one including Axl doesn't know the track list for CD?

It's an official press release.? It's safe to say that the songs listed will be on there.

As official as it is then Brain must be out.

If a new drummer was listed in the release, that's one thing. ?Not mentioning Brain - or any drummer for that matter - just seems like an innocent mistake. ?I just meant that, if they say - or even strongly imply - in the release that the tracks are from Chinese Democracy, I think it's a safe bet that they'll be on the CD.

Sheesh. ?

Personally, I just want to enjoy GnR's triumphant return without all the maddening lineup gossip and bickering. ?I've said it before, but it bears repeating...it's a great time to be a GnR fan. ? peace

I would say it is a good time to be a Guns N' Roses fan. A great time will be the day when their new album finally releases. This is a good time...but not great.

I hate it how the press release is saying that Guns N Roses is a legendary band. The only legend there is Axl theres no Slash no Duff no Izzy so it aint the same Guns N Roses that is legendary this is a new band. Stop being so deludded

I really just can't believe all the positive press guns n' roses are getting this time around.  After 2002 i never thought they were going to ever be taking seriously.  I think a big part of it this time is that they all look relativily normal.  Buckethead gone.  Finck looks normal.  Axl looks (and sings) like axl.  They really just proved to the world there not fucking around.

crying quit whining.  We all know the band is called GNR and Slash and Duff have fuck all to do with it now.

Um I have a right to voice my opinion so i'll "whine" (since thats what u wanna call it, i call it voicing my displeasure at what Axl's doing) for how much i want when i want & how i want, if you dont like it ignore my posts Cheesy

Could not agree more.  I love this new version of Gn'R, and have accepted them as "Gn'R", however, calling this band "lengendary" is a stretch.  Only Axl and the Gn'R name is rock legend.  The rest are not.

Don't want this to be the 1,687 thread on "is this Gn'R", however, I am not a fan of the propaganda Sanctuary is putting out.  What happened to "let the music do the talking"?  Undecided  Roll Eyes

I was really hoping that most of those songs weren't on the album, not cos i don't like them - just that we've waited all this time and heard some live stuff and some leaks, and now it turns out that stuff was half of the album! I was kinda hoping that only a couple of those tracks were on CD and that we'd have 10 or so brand new ones to look forward to.

I just hope that the songs we've already heard sound loads better on the CD!
