'Better' NOT one of the "Big Guns?"

I don't know, why would Axl leak a Big Gun? Wouldn't he want to save best for last? Instead of letting us hear the best, then we think the rest is filler?

thats the Exact way i dont think this is one of the big Guns... even if it is hard to belive, cos the song ROCKS SO DAMN HARD!?

Yeah, it would make no sense to play the best stuff live and leak the best stuff on the internet. I have a feeling there's better stuff on there that hasn't been released yet. If not(which I doubt) it's still great music.

If "Better" isn't the catchiest, most solid song on the album, then Chinese Democracy is not only going to live up to the hype, but will exceed expectations...very, very, excited.

Finally,  just heard "Better" today!

That song is catchier than anything the ex-gunners have put out in the last 3 years--minus the goofy highpitched beginning and garage band sounding sped-up parts.  DAMN!

I hope it's not a Robin Fink song, beacuse it sounds head and shoulders above the other leaked demos and live "new" stuff.  and I'm pretty sure most of the album will be Axl's lyrics and melodies.

I was actually going to give Axl a compliment on the lyrics, but if they're not his than I won't.  "Better call the IRS?"

The beat kicks ass and the meaner guitar parts sound a lot like a riff Slash plays(Rock Superstar and some other place?)--that's what's missing from the other songs they sound too much like Steve Vai or old 80's guitar wizard rock that never really caught on--it's all too high.  Hopefully the album has more of a range with the guitars. so far (except for Better) they sound like the guitar in Nov. rain and estranged or bad VAN HALEN

They are Axl's lyrics.  He meant it was a Robin song in the sense of the music.

On the 15th, Axl said (something like) "When I came up with the words for this song, the smartass side of me thought this was the better song"

I think the leaks are big guns...Maybe not IRS..even though I like it as well.  I think Better is a big gun and Axl sounds incredible on the demo, IMO.  Hearing TWAT live on the 12th was amazing.  I like TWAT better live than the demo...Axl's voice at the end of the TWAT live was Fantastic!
