Didn't Axl once say he doesn't play it because its an Izzy song, if they're getting along you think he'd add that to the list...especially when Izzy showed up. I personally think estranged is one of the best GnR songs.

would you guys  miss November Rain if it wasn?t played live for a couple of shows after 15 years of seeing it in every single GN?R concert, it?s just that having such a powerful balad as SCOM and a new kinda epic son in Madagascar, maybe NR could leave some room for other songs, wether are illusions? songs or appetite or whatever, but sometimes NR gets me pumped down. What do you guys think, i know it?s the greatest hit possibly, and probably will continue being played in every single concert, but maybe it could be laid to rest for a couple of shows, so to speak.

I just want them to play more Illusion songs, from what I've taken, all they've played is November Rain (which is a must) and Live and Let Die, that's pretty weak imo, I hope they try and switch in a few song like Locomotive, Estranged (prolly wont happen, Yesterdays, or possibly even CIVIL WAR

I honestly think he won't play songs that rely too heavily on a slash feel for the crowd to get into them.  Bends and stuff, could you imagin finck fincking up estranged so it sounded all noisy like kurt cobains solo's?

Just think about his 2k1/2k2  november rain finck solos, and think about a whole song of That.

And he might not want to play Don't Cry as it was the first GnR song written and he might not want to play it for similar reasons to that.

But why not play other Illusion songs like Civil War, why not play Civil War.

For me Estranged is the greatest song ever written period! Not just by Guns n Roses. But there is obviously a damn good reason why Axl does not sing it any more, so lets just roll on to the new stuff! Mike

axl says it on one of the illusion dvds and Civil War might not happen because it is by far the most difficult GnR song and one of the most difficult in recent years, the only reason I can see them playing it is because they have 3 guitarists now

I just can't believe that, especailly when Bucket was in the band.

Yeah it's a complex song but it isn't over the top hard, I bet the majority of skilled guitarist's on these boards can easily play it.

one of the reasns i think that they didnt play estranged is because it is a really long song i mean dont get me rong i would have shit my self if they woulda playd it!!!

 i really wanted them to play it ?along with dont cry but it may have been b/c of the lenghth and it could not saying 4 sure ?but maybe the slash issue but like some other guy said

Yes... But they don't have to memorize a shitload of other songs and play 'em infront of a crowd of 20,000.
Shredders like Buckethead and Bumblefoot are NOT as talented as you think. It's like spanish guitar... It sounds really impressive but it uses a bunch of tricks and special moves (i.e. Sweep picking and tapping) that make it sound alot harder then it really is. If you sit down for a few hours and concentrate soley on learning how to sweep pick... You'll have it down pat and tapping takes 2 seconds to learn...
