i dont think its a matter of toughness these are professional musicians... give em some time and they could learn anything its gotta be some other reason, anyway yesterdays seems easy to learn and that song would be awesome live

Finck and BH used to butcher Slash work all the time.

LOL.

Bucket's work in 2001-2002 was solid. Sorry to disagree with you.

Mostly I meant finck. hihi I didn't want to start a fight, but I'll admit BH was better at the old stuff than Finck was. The new stuff....that's a different discussion.

Axl, for all his I-dont-give-a-fuck attitude, still displays a lot of sensitivity toward the reception of his songs.

Estranged got a lot of negative attention because of its video - maybe he just wants to put it behind him.

Haven't seen 'Estranged' video for ages, can't remember why it got negative responses.

My Picks:  Right Next Door To Hell
                Mama Kin
                Pretty Tied Up
                Used To Love Her
                So Fine
                Anything Goes

As far as MORE from the Chinese Democracy stuff..............ummmm......aren't they playing most of it already?
With the exception of TWAT being dropped, Riad & The Bedouins, and Silk Worms.

Considered pompous and overblown. It featured Axl jumping off an oil tanker (? I think Behind the Music incorrectly called it an aircraft carrier) and swimming with dolphins.

Axl admitted he now thinks its corny when he talked with Eddie Trunk on the 5th.

It got negative responses because Axl swam with f*cking dolphins. That's not very "hard core".

I heard that it was to difficult to learn.
It is a 10 minute song with a shitload of diffrent chords and two pretty complicated solo's that unfourtonetly for BH and BF you can't just tap your way through. Finck could probably play something to there effect (Maybe not the exact same solo but something that fits)

Didn't Axl once say he doesn't play it because its an Izzy song, if they're getting along you think he'd add that to the list...especially when Izzy showed up. I personally think estranged is one of the best GnR songs.

Umm... it's an Axl song and Slash is the one who laid down the great solos...check the liner notes,

They don't play it because it is to difficult to play, ?that is why they didn't play it alot during the UYI tour, according to slash and gilby

SCOM was written for erin everly... thats gotta be sentimentel to in a way, granted its shitload more popular but he still plays that, he almost has too

Ya... It's no use... These guys won't accept the fact that not every musician can play everything.
If the original GN'R had a hard time playing it how are these guys going to do it?

i think if the band justed leaned how to play the lies songs then maybe they need to lean the other UYI stuff just so they know how if they wanted to play out of the blue someday.

K... Bumblefoot Sweep picks way to much!
He really shouldn't play the solo's on emotional songs...

Sorry. I was going to type a big ol' post and then I heard him sweep through the outro in November rain and then forgot what I was going to post.
