Songs i'd like to see gone from the setlist

KOHD - Don't think it has a place with all the other ballads (NR, Patience, Madagascar)

LALD - cool song played live but this band has enough songs so they can do away with covers.

NR - only if they play TWAT -  too many ballads and lulls in the action.

But most of all - STOP WITH THE FUCKING GUITAR SOLO'S - HOLY SHIT 4 OF THESE FUCKERS IN ONE CONCERT (5-15) - COULD HAVE PLAYED 3 MORE SONGS AND KEPT MANY PEOPLE FROM SITTING DOWN.

Guitar solos - Axl has them solo so he can catch a break and rest his voice.  Slash said he never liked to solo but only did it so Axl could take a break..

i dont think there is a "reason" actually, other then they had to choose
from hellofa lot GNR sangs, on what to play.. Maybe they will play it after a while
and maybe they will play other illusion songs also. but yet, it hasent been theyr priority
they cant play all the songs, and they cant change to much on the setlist eather so...

axl says it on one of the illusion dvds and Civil War might not happen because it is by far the most difficult GnR song and one of the most difficult in recent years, the only reason I can see them playing it is because they have 3 guitarists now

I'd love for them to have other members sing parts of songs like they did on some illusions songs...   Or just have tommy sing a whole one like duff with attitude.

I think Axl knows that only Slash is able to play it! Estranged is a special song and is necessary a special guitar man to play it. I guess we won?t hear this song anymore.
Perhaps if Slash back to Guns N? Roses again, what I don?t believe.

I know, I was at 5/15 and the solo's sucked and killed the momentum...1 or 2 is enough.  BUT the solo's are done, not for the sake of having the solo, but as a tool to give Axl time to rest.  He exerts so much energy he needs to take a breather every once in a while...so to fill that gap, they play solo's.  The old band did it too...it's not just a new thing...however, the solo's by Slash were obviously much better.

I, like most guitarists hate doing unaccompinied solo's.
The only reason you do it is for the fans and sometimes (long setlists) to give the singer a break. I personally hate it cause:

a) All eyes are on you and if you fuck up it sucks. I've had 2 strings break mid-solo... So bad.
b) It just feels wierd not having anything to help you keep rythym and beat.
