Marmite Militia, taking over one piece of toast at a time!!!

I thought it was 3700..not sure where that person got their info from, but thats the number I've seen floating around. Maybe Hammerstein's website? Either way each section will only hold a little more than? a thousand people that way.

It's 2500 at a seated event, or about 3700 for a GA event.  The main difference is the floor capacity.  The mezz's hold 1100 regardless.  Seated you can get about 1400 on the floor.  Standing, with GA, you can get about 2600.

Now theres another event that would cause me to piss myself. Being in the same room w/ Axl.

Please dont stand near me inside the Hammerstein than.

I'm trying to figure out getting up to Hartford saturday to see Pearl Jam. Actually its getting back thats the problem. There isnt a train back until 7:30 sunday morning. Lawn tickets are still available for PJ so if anyone has any ideas and is interested let me know.

a) check new haven's scheds.  The schedules may be more forgiving.  Getting a train from NH to Hartford should be pretty easy, too.  So train from NYC to NH, NH to Hartford, Hartford to NH then NH back to NYC.

b) when booking an amtrak fare, use the h570 promo code.  Save you about 15% to 20% on your ticket.

c) I've been to the Dodge many, many times.  If the Lawn tickets are expensive...don't bother (and I'd consider $50+ to be expensive for the lawn).

In addition, the weather forecast for Saturday, right now, sucks.  Rain and a high of only about 60.  Not great weather to be out on the lawn for.  Of course, given this IS New Engalnd....by tomorrow they could be forcasting Saturday to be Sunny and 85 degrees. Smiley

I'm really starting to get excited. Especially since Axl did that radio interview. Now I'm allowing myself to believe that this will actually happen!!!

Anybody know of any areas to park near Hammerstein......parking garages, etc.

I'm thinking I may want to drive in as opposed to taking the train.

There is a parking garage literally right next to Hammerstein.

That may or may not be full and most certainly WILL be expensive.

Just keep that in mind. Smiley

Thanks barbie, pilferk!

It was just suggested to me to park at the Port Authority for $20 then walk to Hammerstein.

How far is the Port Authority from the ballroom?

I feel the same, maybe even a bit letdown knowing cd is no where in site, I really thought by now a real date soon could have been given..

I hope all 4 shows go down, that would really piss me off..

Thursday- Culture Club (Awesome looking place that is 80's/90's themed and is $10.00 to get in.)

Culture Club is cool...but beware the bachelorette parties! This place is NOTORIOUS for being jam packed with several bachelorette parties going on ALL AT ONCE! My wife and another couple walked in there once and I swear me and the guy we were with were perhaps the only guys there (especially on the first floor). I know what you're thinking...doesn't sound so bad, right? LOL...I literally almost had my boxer shorts ripped off of my body IN FRONT OF MY WIFE by one of these parties. Those broads can get viscious  hihi

I assume all parking lots will let us out at 2 AM, since the concert will likely end around that time.

Make sure you ask wherever you park - I once had a to leave a show early to get my car out of a parking garage, & it sucked!!!

Can you park at the Port Authority overnight? I'm there for 2 nights and I'm not sure where i'm going to be albe to park.

EDIT: And more importantly, how much does it cost for overnight?
