Asked this earlier but I'll try once more. I'll be heading down to NYC solo for a couple of days and the show on the 15th, which is going to be awesome. Any baseball fans interested in going to the Yankees game against Texas on Tuesday May 16? Send me a pm.

...i fell in love and baby...

« Reply #631 on: May 07, 2006, 10:19:44 AM »

After much thought, I finally decided to get a ticket to the May 14th 2006 show.
I felt let down after the Boston show in 2002, but I figure Axl might do it right this time:

That means:
-Play more new songs
-More rants
-More spontaneity
-Stage Diving
-More wardrobe changes
-Maybe even a bandmember or two making a remark on the mike between songs (like Slash did in UYI Tour)

I just want the nu-GNR to be something akin to the old GNR, something dangerous, exciting and yet with a chip on their shoulder with something to prove, not some nostalgia act like they were in 2002 with no album in sight.
Yes, people on this board will criticize me, I don;t give a fuck. I love my GNR the same way you all do, I just want the new one to reflect a little more on the older one in the spirit. The new songs should do that, they were my favorite part of the last tour in 2002. Since I live a mile and a half from Hammerstein and I figure that a bunch of you guys are flying in for the show, well fuck - I should be spoiled enough to walk down to the show and see what happens and see if all the hype pays off.

I'm most happy to hear Axl spoke to Sebastian Bach. He's getting his senses back after 13 years away from the spotlight. Hopefully this extends itself to the stage and the new songs.

Mark N' Roses

what do you know about axl and his "senses"? i get that you want the old guns n' roses, the "magic" you and your peers keep referring to, but this band has a magic of his own and axl has infact moved on and created something new, and we should all be grateful for that.

i see the light at the end, but everytime i take a step, it gets dim... tell me is this hell we're living in? if so, heaven's gotta be better, but if we're hellbound, whatever, it's going down.

YES COMA!!! I'd love to hear that, that's my #1 request for old GNR music. Granted, I want to hear the new stuff, but out of any other song I'd love to hear Coma
