i thought mr. intensity was going to 3 shows, why isn't he on any of the lists?

When I went to the velvet Revolver show in Chicago that had General Admission on an Arena floor I only arrived a half an hour before doors opened.....and I was able to get what was essentially second row. This was after having to wait in line to get a GA wrist band to get to the floor AND this was a show that had prolly 5-6 thousand fans on the floor as it was a hockey/basketball arena with the entire floor being filled with people. I dont plan on getting there much earlier than 6:30-7...as long s Im in the vacinity of 10 rows on the floor Itll be good. Remember, a third of the tickets are Mezz1 and another third are Mezz2....so that leaves a little over 1,000 for the floor.

I was thinking about that too. The fact that the place is so smaller really contributes to the fact that we'll all be really close anyways. Plus, for those interested in the best sound, they're gonna want to be a bit further back from the stage.

Wow, pretty cool first concert.? Since I've probably been around a while longer, I defintiely can't say that.? I saw GnR 6 times between Philly, Hershey, and NY, but that ws a long time ago (probably when I was a freshman).? 14 years is a long time between GnR concerts, but I'm sure it will be worth the wait...? 2 weeks from tight now....?

The first time I saw GnR live was in Middletown NY back in '88.? They were opening for Aerosmith.? My friends and I drove out JUST to see GnR.  I've now seen them about 1/2 a dozen times (including '02) myself.

There's some sites claiming they'll try to get the shows up ASAP after they happen. I personally think that the first show will be in wide trade by early Sunday morning.

I am recording the 14th & 15th. I have WiFi in my hotel room and will be uploading the show to someone to host a .torrent of them.
You should be able to get on the torrent in the early hours of the day after the show.

EDIT:
I'm looking for someone who can have a reliable FTP site up right after these two shows so I can upload the FLAc files. You will then be responsible for seeding the torrent on dimeadozen.org  for a couple days at least, til it gets around to a bunch of folks.  If you are willing to commit to this, PM me (of course, youll also be the first to hear the shows.) Please, if you are not commited to helping with the torrent or know nothing about torrenting/having an FTP server on your PC, dont PM me. I understand everyone wants to be 'first in line', but I am not going to 'train a newbie' on this stuff.

Same here, except it was '88 in Pine Knob, Michigan opening for Aeromsith, multiple times in Philly & Hershey, PA in '91 but didn't get to see them in '02.......instead I got to see "riot" live

I got to see them just south of the Pine Knob venue in 02. We got a late start and a short show. I'm hoping for the complete show this time around.

Yeah, it was REALLY COOL getting the tickets in my hands. I have UYI I & II framed on my iving room wall so I put one ticket in each frame, mostly so I don't lose them!

Anyone know of any rumors of openers?? I've been thinking about it, and I think it'd be cool to not have an opener on the 12th because the mystique is still there, but after that I think I'd want to see a band as long as I'm there and there is down time.? I know people want that anticipation factor to be there but fuck, if you can't get amped for GNR in 10 seconds downtime between the opening act there is something wrong with you. 

Where's the nearest liquor store to the Hammerstein and how cheap is it out there in NY? Thinking about trying to save some money and have a few before I spend bar prices the whole day long.?

Anyone else staying at the Pennsylvania Hotel near the concert?? I'm there the 15th and 16th, going to the Yanks game on the 16th, sitting out in the bleachers.? Do the bleachers usually sell out or can I just show up on game day and buy tickets?? (that way I don't have to pay ticketmaster about $8 extra for simple $12 tickets.?

I can't wait to talk with some of the oldies here about their experiences going to the shows back in the day, I think that'd be interesting as hell at the preparties.? It's also going to be exciting for those of us coming for shows other than the 12th to hear about it and thoughts on new songs that are played (possibly).?

Bullet for my valentine will be opening at all four shows which has just been confirmed by ticketmaster and livenation

Yankees bleecher tix will prob sell out, but DONT buy tix from ticketmaster, there are always plenty of scalpers to buy from who will sell tix below price very often, just go to them and say "I need one cheap ticket, I only have $10, or $15" it always works

I usually go with friends and show the scalpers $50 and I'll get 4tix
