I dont think a ticket to see anything is worth 5 large, but if he gets it good for him.

Not that it has much to do with GNR, but Tool tickets for the sold out NY shows are going for like 400 a piece. Maybe that's crazy, i dont know. I'm the only person on earth who hates Tool and thinks that repeating the words "learn to swim" 200 times in a row doesn't mean something "dark" or "deep." But hey, that's just me.

Most I'd ever, EVER spend on a ticket is maybe a grand, if GNR reunited, that's what I'd be willing to pay to see them.

Hopefully it would be in Vegas though so I could gamble and try to win the $$$$ back  Tongue

I recieved my tickets for the 15th and 17th, I stand corrected both are mezz2, I was positive the 15th was mezz...  I will see them floor the 12th so it's probably better, I can have breathing room the rest of the nights.. hihi

There is a pair of floor tix for May 12 on eBay thats at $5k right now. I swear I wouldn't part with these things for twice that much!
Your right! WTF is that guy thinking? Theres auctions ending for the exact same tickets at around 300 a pair from people with far more feedback. Does he not check what their going for before posting them?! SOme people are dumb...

Yeah I know! I thought it was some mistake or maybe that was the starting bid or something but OH NO.....this dude bid FIVE LARGE for the same tickets that we all got for face value!

Check it out:

http://cgi.ebay.com/Guns-and-Roses-tickets-5-12-06-HAMMERSTEIN-BALLROOM_W0QQitemZ6625048925QQcategoryZ16122QQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem

WTF what is that all about. there are people losing money on tickets on ebay. I've seen some go for under face value in the last couple days. Not sure what kind of moron would bid 5000 on tickets that are being auctioned off for under 200 bucks.

I myself had to take a serious hit on my scalper ticket I bought before the presale thing was a reality. Now i'm stuck with this ticket i paid $200 bones for. But at least I got the rest of the tickets at face value.

I think the top bidder and the seller are connected if not the same person.

I doubt the hottest ticket on the planet, Super Bowl, would go for that much.

General Admission rarely has chairs involved. We'll be standing through the whole show.

know how you feel, i came home on my lunch and left instructions to leave it in a special spot for the ups guy.... on a side note, not that this is anything new, but i called the ballroom just to make sure i got the right directions, i havent been to ny in a while and never been to the ballroom, so i was like i ll be at the gnr concert and the guy on the phone was like yeah he ll be hear , probably refering to axl, so i took that as they have some assurances nothing will be cancelled

Take the train in--- it goes right to MSG-- terribly easy-- hammerstein is right around the corner (.12 miles, 0 min according to mapquest)? Trains run most of the night also-- seriously, itll cost less and its so much easier if ur comin from anywhere in jersey.? Check njtransit.com, northeast corridor line for details.

is the train and bus station the same place

No the port authority terminal is in the 40's.? You'd have to take a train or cab there (unless you like to walk).

Im just worried about the walk back at 12:00

Before all my posts about subjective matters there should be an IMO before the post. I took this sig down but of course it has to go back up.

Me, too.  Everyone who's offered advice from the boards has said there's little reason to be worried, safe area, cabs available, etc.

I can understand the fears. Escpecially if you are not used to big cities like New York.

People from this board should travel together. ?If there is a bunch heading to bus terminals, coordinate and travel together.

12? ha thats nothing. I make that same walk all the time at 2, 3, 4, 5 in the morning. There are thousands of people in the streets. It's a main street. it'd be more dangerous if it was a side road. seriously man tons of people will be walking down that street at 12. just don't have a $300,000 movado watch hanging out and you'll be fine ok
