Hello Everyone!
I am also going to the shows by myself.  I'm going on the 14th and 17th.  I'm really looking forward to it but it's hard doing something like this by yourself.  I'm flying all the way from California!  Right now my biggest problem is finding a place to stay.  Anyone got any suggestions?

dude this place is so nice!!! And the floor if you have florr tickets isnt that bad. Just get their early but you will def see guns play and have a good view.

Thats the same place I'm staying at! From what I undestand it's actually connected to the Ballroom in some way so that's pretty close. Haha.

I got that same response from just about everyone I talked to when I attempted to find someone to go with.? But, I'm making the trip solo, it's GUNS N FUCKIN ROSES!!!? I've missed WAY too many shows because I couldn't find anyone to go with and I've decided that I'm not missing a show I want to go to just because no one else will go.? Can't wait until the 12th!!

Nobody coming solo will BE solo if they don't want to be.? With the preshow parties going on, everyone is going to be able to actually GO to the show, if they want to, with a pretty big group of people.

Now, here's my question:? Figuring the show will end around 12:30 AM to 1 AM.? My train out doesn't leave until about 3:15 from Penn station.? Anyone know a place nearby that serves 24 hour breakfast....diner-type food that's pretty close to the venue and Penn Station (oh..yeah...and the food is good, too, maybe)?? It's sorta a long standing tradition, with me, to do breakfast after a GnR show (and I'd welcome any company that might want to come with.).

 i'm coming up on the 11th,making a real vacation of it,i have a best friend in NJ  that i stay with when i come up every other year or so.I'm totally making her come to the city early on the 15th & 17th so we can go to the pre party,and i don't expect to be back at her house til the next morning! coming up from TN,so there will be another southerner up there with y'all. LoL now if i could just figure out how to post a dang pic on the other thread........

WHile there is certainly the real possibility that they wont ome on stage till late, I really doubt that they will go on anytime after 10 for most of these shows. Maybe 1 out of the 4 they go on real late but i doubt it. Axl is usually on time when he plays in ny. AT msg in 02 he came on at like 930/945 i think....

I THINK (and I'm not sure if the Hammerstein qualifies) that NYC has a curfew on shows...12:30, I think.

Younggunner is right.  For the MSG show, I ALMOST missed them going onstage.  I couldn't believe they were out that early!  I don't think Axl will make us wait long.  Especially if there's no opening act.

Axl wants to make sure the papers get their reviews in for the next day so when he pops out of the club at like 5/6 am he can pick one up and read the revews and if uncle Axl disagrees with it we have a rant the next day

I can't imagine them not having anyone open - I think people will get way too restless if they walk in at 8 & have ?to stand watching nothing for I'm guessing at least 2 hours. ?At the MSG & Philly shows on the last tour, they cut off beer sales at like 10pm because everyone was getting rowdy, and that was with 2 opening acts. ?

LOL...I MISSED THE FIRST 4 FN' SONGS AT MSG BECAUSE UNCLE AXL DECIDED TO BE EARLY FOR A CHANGE AND ALL THE TIME I WAS DOWNSTAIRS IN A PENN STATION RESTAURANT HAVING A FEW MORE PINTS, GODDAMIT!

Okay...I'm better now. Won't let that happen again. Of course what will end up happening is he'll be really late on the 12th (the only show I'm going to so far) and early for the rest as they are all week night shows. Let's hope Hammerstein has a curfew.

As much as I hate being one of the guinnea pigs at the very first show, I must admit the excitement is Fn' tremendous. Will they play brand new songs? Will they play some more illusion era songs not yet played with this incarnation? Will they play the first CD single? Will we get some new info? Will they even bother to show? Gotta love it!
