I'm pretty new to this band. From what I heard its pretty kick ass metal. Very 80's influneced which is done quite good.
dragonforce.com has tracks up and from what I heard they are pretty good..
Anyone know about these guys?

Yeah, and they're "extreme power metal".
They're fast as hell and they have amazing guitar solos, but I find their songwriting repetitive and lacking at times. It's basically what you get from cloning Yngwie Malmsteen and making a whole band out of him. It's great in small doses, but I don't listen to Dragonforce too much. It's cheesy, fun, guilty-pleasure metal that I enjoy occasionally.

Ah yeah.. I like the guitar work. I don't think they won me over to the point where I will buy a CD from them. Small doses seems to be right for them.

They are.....well, boring
It all ends up sounding the same - might be good from a technical point of view but its rather emotionless stuff, maybe the first instance of a band thats better to watch than hear!

Yeah, Izzy i agree. Its all a bit samey to me. I do like a little, mainly because i enjoyed watching the video and the guitarists facial gestures whilst getting all twiddly on our asses.
BLS touched on "Small Doses". Spot on! With that being said, ill probably watch em on the Sunday, as ill be stoned!

i think they're a great band but like most power metal bands that write about dragons and ancient kingdoms and lords and that kinda stuff.. it gets really boring.. such a shame seeing as how the guitarists are amazing

They're great fun. Saw them live already and will make sure I see them at Download. Herman's a great guitarist, wacky as fuck. They have some cool chorus'
