I was thinking it must have been a strage experience for him without the other members there (apart from Axl of course)

anyways, its a cool thing, a few years ago it would have been unthinkable

Izzy is my favourite member of GNR, hes conducted himself with the most class and cool over the years
Like when he took a piss in the aisle? of an airplane. rofl
Funny how in the entire 20 year history of GNR, whenever someone makes an insulting or sarcastic remark about Izzy they always have to use that same exact line.

Izzy seems to support what all the original members are doing. he's played with Adler's Appetite and VR, now Axl's GNR. I think he's happy to stay in the shadows, release the occasional solo album and go play with his old friends from time to time.

yeah... what he said....

and no he doesnt regret it.. I think Mr Stradlin is past living with regrets...

I f anything, I reckon Axl will regret inviting Izzy on the stage due to the fact that it really hit home that the people still want the proper Guns when Stradlin got the biggest cheer of the night by far.

There'll be a reunion for sure. The old guys are his bros.....

Somehow I don't think Izzy would do anything he truly doesn't feel like doing. He left the biggest band in the world, at one point. That takes a strong desire to stay true to oneself. Plus, he sure as hell wouldn't have stuck around for three songs if he didn't enjoy it.

Izzy was happy to be there  Grin  Robin and Tommy went up and played next to him a few times each, and they all seemed to be enjoying it.   Couldn't really hear Izzy singing, the backup mics weren't turned up loud at all, same problem with robin's mic.  Was kind of hard to hear his guitar with the other 3 guitars there, but it was great!  Especially when izzy and axl hugged when he first came out  peace

IMO, Izzy playing with the band is in a way giving his stamp of approval.  he is the other co-founder of the band originally, so thats coo.   smoking

Maybe he didn't like Axl's comment about this being Guns N' Roses.

That wasn't the whole comment- he said this is GnR- not Britney Spears, or something like that- ie we don't mime, we're real musicians etc. He wasn't referring to the old band at all in that comment.

I think all this talk of Izzy regretting stuff/ "being reduced to only guest appearances" as someone said, is ridiculous.

Izzy has moved on. This is the now and not the past. I think Izzy has moved away from GNR and gotten on with his life happily.

He and probably all the other old band members have moved on far more easily than some of the fans on this board.

I'm also sure that Axl didn't mind Izzy having the largest cheer of the night, he doesn't deny the greatness of the old band, and what it achieved.

not at all.... He had plenty of time to think about it and it was for an old friend, plus the crowd cheered for him loudest like he never left..
He knows he could come back tomorrow and still be huge with them..
