That's awesome you got to meet Izzy, you're one of the most vocal supporters of the original line-up... do you like the new band a bit more now that you seen them four nights in a row?

? Monday it seemed like everyone was in a big hurry or maybe just tired, as the only one who really hung around was Ron again.? I was surprised that #1 the crowd was not larger & #2 (well maybe not surprised so much as disappointed) that Axl couldn't even be bothered to come over & shake hands for even 2 minutes.?
We talked about it a bit, but....given the extended set (which, trust me, I'm not complaining about) and my 3:15 AM train out of Penn....we opted (along with a shit load of the rest of the crowd, it seemed) to go get some grub (breakfast, in my case) at the diner down the street.

I had the same plan, that diner was awesome. If you saw the idiot on crutches that was me.

Spoke to Axl briefly after Mondays show for about a min, but he was getting pissed off drunken idiots swamping him in the club, so went out to get bodygaurds..... from then on he was pretty much unapproachable.
Also spoke to Fink but didnt outstay my welcome, and as usual Bach was as friendly as hell!

On Tuesday morning, following Monday night's show, (between 3 and 6 am - yay for finding where their VIP after party was... I wasn't on the guest list, so Axl Rose invited me in... hehe, too awesome!!
), I talked many people!
I talked to Axl Rose (I finally met my rock n roll hero
), Dizzy Reed, Bumblefoot (such a nice guy
), Bumblefoot's business partner (again, another really down to earth person), Robin Finck (hehe... just a few words
), Robin Fortus, Sebastian Bach, and Rick, the GnR tour manager.
What a damn fantastic night.
Of course, I would have stayed longer at the party... as it was still going strong at 6 a.m., however, I had to catch my train back to Toronto.
Hehe... this is my second after party crash in two years. Not bad

Hey YoungGunner, it was good to see you on the 15th
Some of those guys were annoying (not to mention perverted...). ?But hey, we were able to stay up in first row, thanks to them. ?My back and gut is still hurting though... talk about a rough concert. ?
But yeah, if those guys wouldn't have been close to us (meaning, my sister and I... the blond chick is my sister
), we would have been totally crushed. ?
Arrghh... I can't believe I survived the fight before the concert, the mosh pit, the body surfers, the wild pushy crowd. ?It was crazy!!
Hey, remember that rose that Axl smelled and then put in his mic holder? ?That was my rose. ?I threw it up on stage for him during Knockin on Heaven's Door. ?Hehe... my claim to fame
?

sure, I have never doubted them, some stuff was iffy in 01-02 but everything is cool now... I am just not into the name is all...
when izzy came out only like 5 people were out there because the show hadn't ended, I'm so glad I snuck out early.. Chances of meeting izzy and axl again inone day are like one in a million..

Yeah, I think it's awesome Izzy played, I don't get why some people are saying it is taking credit away from the new musicians to have Izzy come play for a show. It's not like Izzy was out there the whole time or playing on any of the new members original material. Izzy was just coming back to wish an old best friend well and jam on a few tunes he helped write. There was no disrespect to anyone and it that had to be an amazing moment for everyone in the crowd. It seems Axl is damned if he does, damned if he don't......

hi sis---don't ya already miss NY? All the celebs and after party fiascos? hehe
well I got to meet the only celeb I ever cared to meet---Mr.Rose himself. I was in awe...I was trembling inside (and later on shaking a bit) after I met him. I was with my sis, and we found out where to head for the after party...and when Mr.Rose showed up, he was a bit surpirsed to see 5 sexy ladies in the lobby waiting for him
We gave him 2 roses, and we made some small chit chat, and he let us up to his private party (he even laughed at one of my jokes...or at least snicker....haha). He looked very sharp and well dressed (thank god! haha) and it was really sweet of him that he let us in...I mean, for all he knew we could of been phsyco gunner fans...ok, we ARE phsyco gunner fans, but still...hahaha
Other than the man of the hour (or more like the decade) I talked w/ Bumblefoot (so sweet), Richard (very polite) (got photos of them both), quick comment to both Dizzy and Robin.
so now my life is complete....(laff)---talked w/ all the past (Slash, Matt, Duff) and present members of GNR...oh...except for Steven and Izzy...onto my next misson now....haha...I kid I kid!

Hey Bad_Apple (aka, my sister
)
Glad that you had an amazing time in NYC. Wasn't it an incredible trip? Meeting Mr. Axl Rose (hehe... he was rather surprised to see us, as we were rather surprised to see him... it was shit luck, I say
). Hanging out with rock stars, super skinny models, and table dancing women until 6 a.m.? What an amazing, once in a life time (but knowing our luck...
) experience.
Can't wait to hit the road with you in the name of Gn'R sometime soon.
Take care.
