And to think there is only one copy around is just foolish. I'm sure everthing is backed up, that is just how things work.

Never lose hope, that is why everyone does what they do to find more stuff. If it does not exist then we might all give up.

I will search the end of the earth for Hershey. And some day i will have it. You can count on it if I have to beg Axl myself.

The wait is torturous!  many people think it could take from 3 years up to a decade onwards for it to leak, which is sad.  It would be special if it was leaked now as it is only 5 years on from that show after all, beer to the leaks of more great gnr shows!! hihi

What we need is to contact the right people. Say the director of the Live Era videos, or someone from the old gnr film crew.

Im fairly sure I read somewhere that the building that had all the UYI shows stored in was destroyed in the California wildfires in like 95/96. Im not sure if its actually true or not but I do remember reading it somewhere.

The reason you can be nearly guaranteed this isn't true is the LIVE ERA' Videos. If all the UYI show footage was destroyed then where did all the pacific footage of WTTJ come from? I think Axl still has them all stored somewhere, or that's what I at least like to think.

Well no not really, because they could have gotten that video footage from like tv stations etc that had some videos of the band to use in news reports etc. No "new" official dvds from that tour being released does lend quite a bit of credence to the stuff being destroyed.

Actually it doesn't mean to much of anything.  There hasn't really been a reason to release anything other than re issue the Tokyo shows just for the sake of putting them to DVD and a greatest hits CD that was guaranteed to make money.  I have never heard any such story of the video footgage being burned in the fires.  Where was this reported?

I "thought" I read it somewhere on this site, but I've been looking for it on here and I can't find it. So I must have read it somewhere else.

John does not have this fuckin' show:

HOB - I'm sick of answering questions about this.  I don't have it and never have had it.  I don't know anyone that does.  I could care less about people bashing, they just need to get laid.

So you're suggesting the japanese are the most likely people to have HOB?  And I'm very sure I heard somewhere that inglewood wasnt filmed, its a bit optimistic suggesting 'all' UYI shows were filmed aint it?  It would be nice to have pros of the other tokyo 92 shows with locomotive played on it and the tokyo 93 shows!

At mygnr there was a thread about the HOB DVD that actually posted a link to the item on I think HMV Japan (at least I think it was HMV Japan).  This was only a few weeks ago, and the DVD was still up on HMV's website.  The release date was like June of 2001 or something around there.  They said the item was currently on "backorder", or some similar term, and a mygnr poster ordered a copy and the site or customer serivce told him it would be shipped pending a new supply arriving at HMV.  I they may have taken the item down shortly thereafter.

Sorry, my description of the situation is a bit vague, but that's the gist of it.  I can't find that thread now at mygnr, I think it may have been lost when the site got hacked.

Seems clear it was going to be released in Japan.  So the show was recorded, no doubt.  Maybe the DVDs were destroyed after they decided not to release the show (so the story goes), but does anyone seriously think they also destroyed the master copy?  That's pretty doubtful IMO.  Axl's probably got it hidden in his bedroom, guarded by Dobermans and crocodiles.

sounds interesting, I'll look into that!  But again why would axl keep such stuff?  I'm very certain he doesnt stash his media in his house, imagine how he'd treat them!  Being the creator of it all!  and from what born to die said.. 01 and 02 were good years for gnr but yeah they were more unstable as a band but had an awesome 3rd guitarist;)
