na i remember it dude, my mum brings it up if shes got somethin' funny to say about when i was little ok

Maybe it was a Pepsi promo in QLD, because here in Sydney it was most definitely a Coca-Cola competition. I think I still have some old stickers from it lying around somewhere. Their Eastern Creek gig in 1993 was sponsored by Coke too.

It was coke all over australia. Coke was the major sponsor.

Coca Cola had a massive promotion where you could win a car or a guitar signed by Slash. I remember the ad on TV went like "win a mean set of Axl's or a guitar slashed by Slash" or something similar!

Coke also had a promotion on their cans.

7-11 had a promotion where you take so many vouchers in and get an Axl bandanna!

Triple M had these cool GN'R black car stickers.. Im remember I had so many back in the day all over my school folders and stuff? hihi

Just a thought.. being as us Aussie fans are so starved of GN'R action and are enjoying talking about the old days so much, this thread has gone into a few pages.. maybe change the title with a (rumour) next to it cos people will think they are actually coming! (we wish) ?beer

The Chili's came here to Perth a few years ago yeah, and there was Blackjack (Motley Crue/Motorhead/Living End) So I think GN'R could very well come here. I didn't realise how many fellow HTGTH posters were Australian Guns fans! ok
