I know there was a question on what time they are going to go on. I called Hammerstein and they said that the openers will be going on at 8:30 (not the previously discussed 9). Maybe that means GnR won't be on as late as people thought...hope this helps

You're the second person that has said so, to me (meaning the 8:30 thing).

If that's so, we could see guns as early as 10 PM, rather then the more often guessed 11 PM.  That gives BFMV a 45 min set and 45 min to strike the stage and get GnR set up.  People going to the show, who are purposefully missing the openers, should keep that in mind.

It would be a HUGE disappointment if they went with the same five-year-old setlist. That old setlist was already a disappointment at the Vegas shows in '02! I think they'll do lots of new stuff this time around. Why the hell wouldn't they? Getting the new stuff online just makes people more excited.

If they were to play the setlist from 01-02, I would be disappointed for the future outlook of the band, because if they were to go and fully re-hash all the old material, in my opinion there would be a grimm future for this GNR.  But at the same time, I would still have an awesome time, bc I am a big fan, and would love to hear these songs live.

I don't think we'll hear too many new songs, if any at all.  It so easy to bootleg concerts these days that Axl isn't going to want even more CD songs to be out there.  With 4 leaks already out do you really think he'll play 2-3 new songs on top of that?  I don't.  I think he'll play 2 leaks or so, but the rest will be 02 set list.  which is fine with me....maybe i'm the only one who liked it, but how could you not want to hear: jungle, its so easy, rocket queen, you could be mind, paradise city, nighttrain......

I'm with Nesquick on this one....just seeing/hearing GNR will be enough for me.  I like to know the songs being played at a concert...i remember at MSG when they played CD, the blues and madagascar, the air just deflated out of the place....most people didn't know the songs - it killed the energy.

IF he does play a new song, it better be a kick ass rocker.

Woo! My boss gave me a half day for the show!! Looks like I'll be able to pre-party with everyone else after-all!! 

As far as the set-list goes, I'd be pretty surpised if it was the same one from 02 as well... although I can understand why he wouldn't want to play new songs, I think he could play the leaks though - we already have those anyway. *shrug* I don't know. I'll  be happy with anything, I'm not going to complain.
