Merck Mercuriadis has told Splat that there is 'no truth' to recent news reports stating that Axl wants to reform the original line-up of GN'R (a story that has somehow evolved from the recent Rolling Stone story).

Well, wouldn't that comment above hold true to any GNR reunion formations at any upcoming festivals?

I read all that to say that a GNR reunion ain't happening ANYWHERE.

I guess so. At least it can't be Axl's idea.

Seemingly the denial is real and not their favourite mere speculation.

Maybe, but that blanket statement was made before an actual reputable source ran with it (and I don't think Ross Halfin got his "scoop" from a Rolling Stone blurb or internet message board rumblings). We are talking about one of the most successfull Rock Photographers of all time, He's not going to risk burning bridges by spreading info that doesn't come from reliable sources.

I do believe Merck squashed the reformation of original GNR rumor before he ripped sp1at a new asshole.

Im sure some of you will get a good kick out of this http://forum.readingfestivalonline.co.uk/showthread.php?t=15451 Especially the part where "axl rose child aka arc" is going around saying slash is back   rofl

whoever said that pulled it out of his ass.
I have never been to that forum as I'm sure is true for ARC also.  The 'event' I spoke of has nothing to do with Slash or the original Guns N' Roses.  Dizzy stated in his email response back to me that he'd rather certain news not appear on the web and therefore I'll respect his request.

don't worry - this event is nothing groundbreaking... it's simply something that might indicate Chinese Democracy's release is coming up.

Btw, chineseblues- you must be one of the most unintelligent persons I've ever communicated with.

no... it already took place - I'd say over a week ago now.  Hopefully it led to something positive.

That's what I've thought from the beginning. Hopefully, if that was the case, something fruitful came from it (photo session, final listen of CD, tour planning, etc.)

Ya Ross must have taken pictures of the newly formed "Original" Guns N' Roses, then they began hammering out tour dates.

Sorry I couldn't resist...............
