Great story man!!! And Bach is the greatest guy!! I had the chance to work with him last year when he came to Brazil with his solo band, he's SO down to earth that's a little scary! But one thing you said about bach that worried me: you said he had a glass of wine in his hands. Damn, he said some weeks ago at his myspace that he has quit drinking  rant

And about his VH1 thing, it's a show called "Supergroup", a superband that has Bach, Ted Nugent and a lot of other rockers!! It'll premiere at May 21st!  ok

Did you not hear the whole "falling off the wagon" discussion on the Trunk show...?

No I didn't

My buddy and I met most of the band outside (with the exceptions of Brain and Axl), and we didn't have too good of an experience meeting Finck either. The difference: we didn't mention anything about Reznor, NIN, etc. Finck actually jumped on my friend during the show and he mentioned that to him jokingly but what he got was a really cocky, "Well you got up, didn't you?" and walked away from us. Everyone else was awesome, especially Thal and Fortus.

Who knows maybe Robin is going through something in his personal life or maybe he has read the boards and seen some people bashing him and is disgusted with some of the fans. I wasn't happy that he just walked away from me.. but I care more about the music, and he's improved a lot since the last tour. Can't wait to see him rock out again. One thing that I don't get about him though is why he chooses to use the same guitar as Slash... he was taking a lot of heat for that by people in the crowd.. I heard a lot of people saying stuff like "you're not slash, use a different guitar." Now I don't know shit about instruments... does he have to use that same guitar to get the same tone on the solos???

Yes, the guitar is key for the tone on some of the old songs.  So its pretty natural that he will use some of the same guitars as Slash (and they are used by tons of other people really...)

Ok, I see. I didn't think he was doing it on purpose, you'd figure he would want his own identity and not "the guy using slash's guitar".. so he probably just uses it for the same tone.

Exactly.  Since he does a lot of the main solos he uses mostly Les Pauls. the other guys have various different guitars on stage.

Well allegedly most great guitarists/artists are inarticulate.  That's why they're forced to express themselves in music/art.
