It's hard to compare a half dozen demos and live cuts with 11-20 year old classics, but my gut tells me that "Chinese Democracy" and its follow-ups will be the very best Guns N' Roses albums. I can't stop listening to the new songs on my computer--they are so rocking, melodic and rich...some of the best rock I have ever heard. I sooooo can't wait for "Chinese Democracy" to come out.

Nothing can take away from AFD, Lies, and UYIs. But Chinese Democracy will be up there with the best of them. It's easy to tell just by what I've heard so far.

No album can touch AFD. Maybe CD could be better than UYI, but even that isn't easy. From the leaks, I think this album will be slightly above UYI, but no one can say for sure.

Chinese Democracy won't even be the best album this year.
"Fifteen" by Buckcherry, "Stadium Arcadium" by the Red Hot Chili Peppers and "10,000 Days" by Tool are probably all going to end up being superior to Chinese Democracy... That is, unless there's some killer tracks on CD that haven't been played live. But from whats been played live and what has leaked, I'll take those over Chinese Democracy.

Funny how there's more GN'R in Velvet Revolver then there is in Guns N' Roses.

We all know that you don?t support the new band and there really is no reason to compare the new GN?R with other albums, but since you brought it up?The new TOOL is boring and pretentious like every other album they?ve done. The new Buckcherry is a fun album, but nothing spectacular?certainly nothing too challenging or memorable. The new RHCP is great, but CD will still be my pick for the best CD of the year.

I couldn't really compare it to any of the earlier Guns N Roses albums because it's a completely different band with different musicians and hence you're bound to get a completely different sound.

PERSONALLY, I may come to appreciate this album more to the older albums, only because I prefer the musical direction these new songs have been taken rather than just the straight ahead hard rock / blues style that highlighted the older albums; I prefer a bit more diversity where possible, but once again, THAT IS ONLY ME, so don't go crazy and get too defensive. It's just my preference.

Just because you don't like Tool doesn't mean that other people can't Richard Nixon.

BTW, Guns N' Roses needs to work on these songs before we can compare them to AFD material. Although I would call them superior to most music out these days.

I think Chinese Democracy and the follow up albums will be fucking amazing.  I think musical they'll be just as good if not better, then the previous stuff.  Now saying that, I also understand that they will have a different sound then the previous albums. I'm almost positive that my reviews of the new album (s) will be completely opposite of what the media will think of them.  After going to the show on Monday, I thought the 5 new songs they played sounded great.  Better and Madagascar had a very powerful, emotional sound, I thought the Blues was very strong, IRS was awesome, and Chinese Democracy sounded great, I was not a big fan of that song, but hearing the way they played it live, it was unbelievably good.  So I can somewhat believe that CD will be the best album.

It can easily stand alongside the UYIs, but I can't see it touching Appetite.

Right. Buckcherry = Lame as hell. RHCP = Repetitive, Same old shit. Tool = Pretentious faux-intellectual alt/metal.

Anyway, moving right along.

I honestly think it could very well be the best GNR album. AFD isn't flawless - Anything Goes and You're Crazy are weak, and could easily be cut. And the bloated mess of the UYIs is easily surprassable.

Take songs like TWAT, Catcher in the Rye, and The Blues - These three songs are my absolute favorite GNR songs, as they're so melodic and creative. And the guitar solos in all three absolutely rule.

BAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA.
There is no way anything a reunited Guns N' Roses does will be better then AFD let alone this sad excuse for Guns.

None of the leaks or live songs come close to anything on AFD (minus Anything Goes). Appitite might of had 1 weak song and 1 not so great song but the rest were perfect. There is no chance in hell this album comes remotley close to the quality or sales numbers of Appitite.

To much sound effect's on song's 6-11 boring that is not rock that is simply boring and lame for a band of that stature, uninventive, and sure lack of song writing ability drool tool suck's now[ just my opinion] !!!! ok
