Hammerstein Seating

Thought I would post this in the Jungle.  I went to Friday night's GNR show.  I waited in line a long time, was on the floor and was pretty close to the stage.  Wednesday night I am in the Mezz2 section.  My question is what can I expect if I don't wait in line and walk in around 10:40 pm.  Will I have no place to sit?  Will I still be able to stand in the back and have a good view?  Am I screwing myself if I don't wait in line and see the opening act again?  Someone please advise!!

Sunday night I walked in at around 10 and got the very first seat to the right in Mezz2.  It's easier if you're alone as they'll be some single seats avaliable.  If you arrive too much past 10, you might have a problem.

And by the way, the whole thing about there being no bad seats at the Hammerstein is a myth.  The columns in the Mezz section can be very obstructive if you're in the wrong seat.

i walked in Monday night all hammered and managed to make it to front row, well behind some guy against the barrier who had fun while I was grinding and dancing in the crowd! lol
