Guns N' Roses will be playing a Download warm up gig at the Hammersmith Apollo in London (UK) on 7th June 2006.

We will be organising another pre-sale list. It will be done the same way it was before.

People on the list will get a one hour window to buy tickets.

I will post more details when I get them? ok

Guns N' Roses to play London
Axl Rose's band return for an intimate summer show
Guns N'Roses have announced a very special one-off date in the UK as a warm up for their appearance at this year's Download Festival.

The band will return to London Hammersmith Apollo on June 7 for their first show at the venue in almost 20 years.

Last time they performed at the indoor venue was during their 'Appetite For Destruction' tour under G N'R's original line-up in 1987.

The gig will be Guns n' Roses first in the UK since they performed at the London Arena on August 26 2002.

Tickets for the show are priced ?37.50 and will go on sale on Friday May 19 at 9am.

Support will come from Californian rockers Avenged Sevenfold.

I am sure it does... Of course there will be some tensions... That is normal. People get nervous. It is not easy to stand in front of people after so many years. I am sure everyone wants the best for this band and they are giving all to it... Tensions means that there are emotions... That is cool.

I know you didn't ask me...

GUNS N? ROSES have announced their first live performance on British soil since 2002.

The band ? which only contains AXL ROSE from the original line-up ? will play London?s Hammersmith Apollo on June 7.

The gig sees an important first, as fans can get tickets downloaded to their mobiles.

Ticketrush.co.uk are using new technology which sends the tickets directly to phones, which are scanned on entry to the venue.

It will cost you ?37.50 plus a booking fee to see the band.

Tickets go on sale this Friday at 9am. Call 0870 6063400.

Oh you absolute fucking beauty Axl! I am going to Download but I was praying for something smaller like this first! Now I just hope I can get a ticket! Thanks for the heads up Mysteron! Whats the process with this pre-sale thing? Because the last one was for the New York gigs I did not take a lot of notice seeing as I live in the UK! Mike

I guess this is going to be in the next couple of days as they go on general release to the public (if any are left!) on Friday.

PS - thanks to everyone in GNR/Management for this, if I see GNR at the Hammersmith Apollo it'll be the best night of my life!! especially as I couldn't make it to Download, and had tickets for the re-scheduled Docklands gig a few years back, so have never actually seen Axl!!
