don't you finally realize that, as good as fortus and finck are, a true virtuoso is needed to take guns n' roses to that extra level? ron will take this band light years ahead of other bands, but so will axl and the others, but i think ron's talent is needed to give the songs that extra brilliant touch.

and what was he waiting since 2004 (if the 10 day thing is for real)

well, bumble didnt really bring much to the show on friday, so i think they really havent found a place (musically) for him yet.

which i cool, he sounded really good, but it also sounded like his parts had not been written into anything yet.

i dont think they need to rerecord with bumble, it looked like fortis and finck were doing most of the guitar work anyway, especially on the new tunes.

I don't think so. If so, axl wouldn't have said the album should come out in late this fall. or they wouldn't need a shred master again.

1. as far as I know they (axl,management, lawyers have tried to get bucket back up until almost the last minute.

2. They knew they could bring ron or any other generic "shredder" into the fold if need be to learn those parts really quick. Plus this tour had to start now if this album really is gunna drop in 06.

I think if he can gel real well with the band he'll be kept around to do sweeps , appregios and random robotic spider sounds , however I dont think he'll be on the first 2 albums and IMHO may not be around by the time the third is released. I honestly think he is more of a touring/replacement/temp member.

he hasnt re-recorded buckets parts .. listen to whats been played live , listen close ... ron is playing buckets parts very close to how they were on the leaks.

I was thinking along the same lines originally. Axl said some rumours have to be squashed when they get outta hand. Maybe this was one that they buried so that it would be a surprise at the gig. But then, why would u say he'd been with the band only one week?! (unless he meant in terms of rehersal time - maybe they only rehearsed for a week with him, but he's been in the frame for a while wen needed?!?!?) who knows?! lol

For sure man, but that means he could have replicated them note for note in the studio very easily. Rerecord, not redo in his style and rerecord. It wouldn't take too long.

this way it may be 90% perfect, but I think that in 2-3 weeks they might be at least at 95%

Just because Ron is in the band now does not mean Axl is going to have him redo all the guitar parts of Bucket. Gilby learned most of the material in a short time as well.
