well have a meet up place for the forum fans and buy the tickets before the show from those who have xtra

The only problem witht that is that people are traveling from pretty far, and you have to be aweful trusting to spend the $$ to get there and not have the tickets in hand.

I am flyin in from Boston, but would want the tickets in hand

I agree illusionone. there's no way I'm flying in form Calgary without the tickets in my hand. I highly doubt anyone here would willing rip off another fan but shit happens sometimes and ya never know. Things can go wrong even if the intentions are genuine.

i missed out on the 02 msg show, i hope i dont miss out on this

The MSG show was amazing.  I know a girl whose friend got sick and her 2 tickets went unused! Unreal.  I have a pretty good audience boot of the show, too, for the memories.  Ahh, nostalgia...

I will say as an absolute last resort, i was wondering how places like stubhub can offer tickets to a show that hasn't gone on sale yet, so i called and inquired, and was told that if the seller that listed the ticket doesn't actually obtain them, stubhub will find you a ticket of equal or better seating, and bill the seller for additional costs, not the buyer. just an option for those that cannot get a ticket. I would definatly wait until after all other options are done though.

I thought there wouldnt be that many NYC based fans on the boards but I guess I was wrong, seems like a lot of people are going to try for tix and then make plans from there.

Is it a for sure that tix are being sold at the Hammerstein or Lincoln Center or Irving Plaza box office? cuz if they are thats the route I'm going. Usually the net gets so packed with loading for an event this big it's almost impossible to get tickets.

This is going to be awesome if it's packed with real fans as opposed to people who know people who know people.

"No guarantees but we are looking at it...."

corporate double speak. I hope they do help forum members, but I am not holdin' my breath. have worked for 3 Fortune 500 companies, and have heard all this before. I signed up for tix and will be first to pay for them............................if they are available/ hope so, but sounds like they already are making excuses.

People with an "in" are always able to get tickets earlier than presale.  Ticket brokers and people with connections can always get their hands on tickets even before presales

Yes, but there are also loads of people who 'make' their own tickets and sell them. I think it is cool that Merck responded, warning the fans and looking into a presale for the fans. Hope it happens for all you people going to the NY shows.

one question ?
how does one get his ticket ?
you pay, and then you go to the counter with your creadit card and retrieves the tix ?
do they send the tickets ?

i think there is a bus that comes down from the boston area. not sure of price, etc but if interested I could ask my cousin and find out for any1 who might wanna use this transportation

you can take grey hound or peter pan from boston, no gas not tolls for the bridges, it's rather cheap, anywhere from 20 to 40 bucks..

Theres a lot of REALLY Cheap buses that operate out of Chinatown in the city, I know they go  from NYC to DC for around 20 bucks, ridiculously cheap.  Just do a search online and you should find a few options.

Jetblue could be a cheap flight option.  Its such a short flight, I'm guessing it would only cost around 100??

I really can't stress this enough, I just took a look at ebay and it made me absolutely sick. Ticket Brokers already have tickets priced between $200-$400 for the show. Even though we will all get our seats via the pre-sale think about all the gunners that are going to be left in the cold with no tickets when the show sells out. If you can afford it I urge you to buy as many tickets as possible. This way we will have an accumulation of extra tickets to sell to genuine fans online and hopefully even enough to sell some at the pre-party. I mean how cool would it be to go up to fellow gunners at the venue looking desperately for tickets and then directing them to Mustang Harry's where they can get ticket for face value.

Until now I had not looked at ebay, I just realized it's us against the brokers, fuck them. I encourage you all to buy the limit. Even if you have your tickets secured and you have money to spare. You should try do buy them during the regular sale too, think about if you were without a ticket, you'd want a fellow gunner to do everything he/she could to help you get one at face value. Lets all be united for once and have each others back on this ticket thing. If you're hard pressed for money and NEED to sell whatever extra tickets you get quick Illusionone already has a huge list of people willing and I have at least 4 people who contacted me privately who I have verified are legit gunners, but can not take part in this pre-sale. So, lets all ban together and secure as many tickets as possible.

I can't wait until thursday. yes

Same here, my extra 2 for each show are already lined up for True Gunners.

See you at the show, Mr. Intensity.
