Shit. As much as I love the band (and I got cancelled on in Germany once in '01)... I honestly couldn't blame you.

I don't think he'll cancel though- the stakes are too high. Not sure how quality of a show you're going to get though...

is it true that axl mentioned that tommy and himself had some words with each other the other day?

if so what exactely did he say?

Yeah Axl said they were both saying "I am so sick of you" to each other just a few days ago but then he said  that at the show they were having a blast together!!!
Part of being in a band/family I guess. Seemed like it was all water under the bridge at this point with no hard feelings. Axl was sharing the mike with Tommy a few times and dancing around him!!

Already? Sigh - I am glad it is water under the bridge, but how can they be sick of each other when they have been on hiatus for who knows how long and only getting back to this for a short period. Hopefully he was laughing about it... The last thing I want to hear about is any strife. No more quitting or any of that..

I dunno. Axl needs people in his life to tell him like it is!!
Good for Tommy for having the balls to stand up to Axl. Axl seemed completely cool with it and him and Tommy were having a great time rocking NYC!!

it would be.  but if axl can't sing, then he can't sing.  It would be heartbreaking for sure.  But what else would you do if you can't sing?   Hopefully he'll be all good.  He sang tonight.  Please be ok Axl

I still think adding the two extra shows after the 15th and 17th sold out was BS..I knew something like this would happen! Now there's a damn good chance my show is gonna get cancelled, and I'd have no way of getting to the show on the 17th!

No way on the cancel. IF and I mean IF his voice is shot, I honestly would come out with the band playing and dance around or something. That way no one could blame the guy. I think it is more likely no one would believe his voice is actually out... but if he at least showed up and freaking mimed and had Tommy and or Robin sing, or hell even Baz, people would at least know it was his voice and that he was not just shitting on others. If it were me, I could not be pissed if they at least showed up and tried to make something work.

This explains why Tommy seemed to be bothered when he was asked questions about GNR during recent interviews. ?I could sense some anomisity towards GNR/Axl . ? ?I expect them to feud in the future ? but i don't think Tommy would walk away from the tour money ? no way!!

Axl sounded like he was freaked out the most about losing his voice, but he seemed pretty confident with htis throat/vocal specialist he just met thanks to BAZ. Plus he sounded pretty good tonight so I wouldn't be worrying to much at this point about tomorrow, just my opinion about tomorrow.

Yeah, but Axl wouldn't mime, and I think there'd be a riot if they did show up and anyone BUT Axl sang!

your right.. that makes sense... tommy seemed upset with the entire gnr thing... hes prolly put alot of work and time into it and thats why he cares about it... good for Tommy Stinson for not being afraid to tell Axl when hes fucking up... its better than being one of his ass kissers like beta.

all i know is that there is no credibility left to not show up. he would be better off showing up and doing something so people knew he was not just pissing it off. but i hear you... i am just not convinced that if he showed up and was on stage the whole time in some way that people would go that apeshit. well maybe they would... hell then, literally have the band play and sit on stage taking questions and hang... lol.

Hopefully that's the frame of mind he's in - but seriously, he had a full day between friday and today to rest his voice and work with the throat specialist..i don't see how he can go balls out on back to back nights if his voice is that fucked. I really need to know if the show is gonna go on or not before I make the 2 1/2 hour trip to NYC...

axl has been in the buisness for how many years? and he doesnt have a throat specialist? fuck that.. hes no rookie... thats just bs..... my friend who sings for a band that had a hit record needed to get a throat specialist but he is new... axl isnt new to this game and he isnt blowing out his throat with booze and blow... he knows how to take care and whats on the line with these shows... he is not gonna cancel his fucking 4 shows... he can make it... this is axl rose...not william hung.
