I am just wondering, what is the general capacity for these shows? I dont know the differences between here in the U.S. and over in Europe. The 2002 some shows were like 25-50% full, is it like this in Europe too?

I don't think the percentage was quite that low...

I can only comment on the time I saw Guns in 02' when there was 70 000 of us...

I'd guess the majority of the European arenas are 10000+.

Some examples:

Madrid, Spain The Juan Carlos I Auditorium 13,000
Budapest, Hungary Papp L?szl? Budapest Sportar?na 12,500
Dublin, Ireland RDS Stadium 35,000.
Z?rich, Switzerland Hallenstadion 13,000
Paris, France Palais Omnisports de Paris-Bercy 15,000
Prague, Czech Republic Sazka Arena 18,000
Stockholm, Sweden Globen 13,500 sold out
Oslo, Norway Spektrum 9,700 sold out
Helsinki, Finland Hartwall Areena? 12,000 sold out x 2

the lowest attendance in US was like 6000 of 14000 in northwest small cities.. after a riot...
i remember reading the average of the tour was like 70%.. and it is quite good, cuz it didnt have enough promotion or an album to support...

If you don't mind me, i need to correct paris :

Without the stage ( for a sports thing for example) it is 17.000

But with a stage for a concert, it is around 15.000 people.

The seats behind the stage are empty and used by staff to put stuff ( usually)

Some capacity numbers are kinda hard to figure out. Like the RiR-Lisboa festivalground, and the capacity of the nurnburgring and Nijmegen's Goffertpark. On Rock Am Ring and in the Goffertpark, there are no limitations... They can make the venues as big as they want to...

Although it would be nice to see 60.000 people in the Goffertpark, I think the promotor will size it down to 20.000 to 40.000 people...

I went to the Detroit show in 2002 and I'm pretty sure it was not 75% full.

the 2002 show in North Dakota (Fargodome) only sold a little over 4,000. i think it was about 4,600 total. i know it was less than 5,000. It was the lowest selling show of the tour if i remember correctly.

Ah maybe that explains why Dublin is not sold out then and Stolkholm Oslo and Helsinki are thanks for that puts it into perspective now

Do you have any idea on how many tickets have already been sold for the gig in Nijmegen? I have this bad feeling it's not selling too well.

Mojo won't release any sales figures... Guess we have to wait and see how many people turn up there... Remember the gig that was supposed to be held in the Gelredome in Arnhem? It had a 30.000+ capacity, and was sold out in only a couple of weeks. I expect quite a few people to still being upset about that cancellation, but 20.000 should be possible...
