Hmm sounds like you got some problems you need to work out with a shrink.? Seriously, let it go man, you're living in la la land.?

Since when has Axl had it out for Slash??? And what nasty things has he really said about Matt and Slash in public?? I'm pretty sure the "Slash is in my ass" comment was NOT directed AT Slash.....it was directed to the douchebag fan that was chanting Slash while Axl was performing.? I don't see where it derails Slash in any bit?? Infact I remember hearing a few positive words towards Slash from Axl.? And as for Matt, didn't Axl and he make up?? But then again you'll bring up the "Where was this guy when we hired Matt" comment.........This was Baz's comment and while it did give Brain a thumbs up....it really wasn't directed to flat out derail Matt.? Once again you've became a puppet to the media's complete and utter fabrication that is this phony AXL vs. MATT/SLASH/DUFF "war".

Great post? ok , This whole fued is pretty much caused by the media
What does a press release from AXL got to do with "being a puppet of media"? More like being a puppet of Axl.

You mean a press release that went out without any mention of Slash......then MYSTERIOUSLY reappeared edited about half an hour later with this amazing story??  Yep, give me proof that that thing was Axl's idea to re-edit that press release and there you have.  As of yet from Axl's mouth you've heard nothing and infact he denied talking to Slash for almost 10 years back at that Korn thing.

Damn I'm not sure that anyone will ever know the exact truth! For now, since I certainly don't have a clue as to what really happened, I won't take sides and guess who lied. Imo it might not have been either one of them.

Mysteron said he asked for confirmation 3 times from Merck and recieved the go ahead so i tend to believe that press statement was GNR sanctioned for message board use only. Thus the reason it wasnt in the press release to AP. Whatever Axl's intentions were its hard to say it worked. VR still seem to be strong, not counting Slash's divorce but he seems to be slowly getting back in with the mainstream.

Im curious why noone has questioned Axl about this  Huh

What was sent out through Business Wire was edited by them. It wasnt what was intended, so they released it again with  the additional stuff in it (the slash visit).

Quote
The following press release, which was sent earlier, is the official response from W. Axl Rose in regards to the lawsuits filed by Saul "Slash" Hudson and Michael "Duff" McKagan.  A version of this release was also sent out over the Business Wire through the Entertainment Wire National with Trades, but was edited and did not contain all of the information intended. The attached release is the version that should be used in all reporting of Mr. Rose's reply to the lawsuits and all inquiries about this discrepancy should be directed to Mr. Howard Weitzman, Esq.

Slash is lying.  Come on, this guy is known for loving the press and media.. Axl not so much.   Is it a conincidence that Slash is completely silent for 2 months then waits until the day after Guns play their first gig in 3 1/2 years to basically call Axl a liar?  Grin  Oh right, he had no idea about the GNR shows.  yet he knew about a release date that never happened  hihi

ur a jerk

He had an idea about them playing

the release date he said it casually as the person from the GNR camp had told Axl late last year & im guessing they were the plans at the time.

Unlike u Slash doenst have the time to surf the net & be up on everything on Guns N Roses

Well well....if it isn't my favorite hillbilly...Jim Bob. Still up to your old tricks I see. Do you realize regardless of what Slash has said, Axl is still a liar? He claims that he hasn't spoken to Slash in 10 years. Now if Axl's statement is true, then his press release is an outright lie. If it's not true...well then his statement at the Korn party is a lie. Either way your hero is a liar.

I'm thinking his comments to Rolling Stone were said because he didn't want to go into the whole Slash thing there.  If he'd of said Slash was at his house a few months back, then reunion rumors would have been much worse than they already are.  It was a little white lie to avoid going somewhere he didn't wanna go.. ya her?

Thats if Slash did in fact go to Axl's house last october, which I do believe he did.  So if you wanna get technical, both guys are lying.  But the events Slash lied about are what I believe occured, making Slash the liar.

Well even if Slash is the one lying (Which i dont think it is), that means that Axl has also lied. If you remember the Rolling Stone interview in January this year, Axl says he loves Slash and hasn't spoken to him in 10 years! Take from that what you want, but 1 or 2 months later and he came out with the statement about the October 2005 incident. So Slash may or may not be lying, but somewhere along the line, AXL HAS LIED!

Axl didn't actually talk to Slash in Oct 2005.

Slash has denied speaking to axl or going to his house, axl says he spoke to slash went to his house and bashed his vr buds.. Someone is lying, so who is it..?

Or just your eyes  ears, or memories are lying to you?

1) Has AXL said that he spoke to slash himself then? No.

2) while slash denies having a conversation with Axl, he doesn't refer to the alleged visit.

Or am I missing something?

Not quite. The last thing Axl needs when trying to get his shit together for this tour and album release is more press about Slash and really
gay he said she said thing going on. Honestly, I don't think either of them said anything and it's all bullshit. Untill I actually see one of them saying
they got together, I'll take that position at least -

Where would GnR be today if it wasn't for Slash...

« Reply #55 on: May 27, 2006, 10:40:18 AM »

The truth usually lies somewhere in the middle - in this case, it might be somewhere in the middle, but I'd guess Slash's version is more true than Axl's.? The reality is that none of us know for sure, nor will we likely ever know.

Very comical..... If Axl lies, it is not a "REAL" lie......   I personally am not convinced   that Axl ever said those things in that press release  in the first place... But since you like to run around proving points.... Your post proves the point that if Axl took a big steamy dump on your face you would say it didn't smell... And if it did smell, you would totally convince yourself it was someone elses shit.... Or that it was some conspiracy like someone must have put something in his food to make his shit stink....

It's sad that dislike Slash so much that you aren't even willing to take your hero's word on it. Axl could have easily said "no comment" or "I'd rather not talk about the past" when asked about Slash if he didn't get into it. What would be the point in lying, especially if he planned on talking about the info publically at a later date? Just maybe he was telling the truth and so is Slash.

amazing how even when axl lies you still find a way to say it's not a "real" lie.... rofl

If slash had said trhe same things and two different times you'd all be here wit the tourches and pitchforks saying slash's a liar, I mean look at the crash diet thread, you picked the worst pic of slash to post but none of the others.. Quite the piece of work hihi
