Axl wouldn't just make that up, a whole story.

I think the opposite is true

Axl has lied several times (the latest beaut about being pressured into 2002 when he said the exact opposite in 2002 being a good example), whereas the only lies anyone can come up with for Slash on this board is some flimsy story about backing singers

Well even if Slash is the one lying (Which i dont think it is), that means that Axl has also lied. If you remember the Rolling Stone interview in January this year, Axl says he loves Slash and hasn't spoken to him in 10 years! Take from that what you want, but 1 or 2 months later and he came out with the statement about the October 2005 incident. So Slash may or may not be lying, but somewhere along the line, AXL HAS LIED!

Read old interviews with him....In one interview ( and you can find them all on mtv.com)  he says he wanted the band to experiment and move forward...

then in another interview (most notably with Kurt Loder) he says he wanted to make a traditional AFD record but Slash stood in the way......

Axl also lied about what happened in St. Louis saying he couldn't see the guy that he hit, although the tape clearly shows the man standing in front of him...

Did Slash show up at Axl's house? Dunno, and probaly never will....

Why does everything have to become this big issue around here?  I mean, who cares?  Do you guys really believe that everything that comes out on the internet is the "gospel truth" of what was said or done?  I still don't believe Axl even said that, himself, nor did any visit happen.  So, neither one of them is lieing - drop it!  Again, who cares?!?

I don't think Slash is lying. I don't think Axl is lying. We have never heard Axl, in his own words, claim that this visit took place. Axl's own words regarding Slash was that he has not spoken to him in 10 years. Slash has been saying the same thing all along. I have no reason to disbelieve either of them when their stories are consistant. Unless Axl himself comes out and claims that Slash visited him, there is no reason to believe that the visit took place.

He has had it in for Slash publicly for a while now.

I am a GNR/VR/ fanatic and have never heard Slash say anything negative or at least hurtful about AXl.  Even without camers--got to meet him once--He actually still gives AXl compliments about being the best front man in RNR and about his cool I don't give a Fuk attitude.  Matt has given the same compliments.

Everything about AXl is a lie now!  His poser "modern  prep GQ" look, the way he tried to change his voice so it's not as screechy, His corny, embarassing lyrics on IRS, and the nasty things he says about Slash, Matt publicly (Slash is in my ASS!) rant.  HIs bloted botox face, fake hair, fake thank you to fans.  He cancells the last tour because it's not selling like he expected--what a selfish lier.  At least VR plays to 2,000  or even 1,500 fans at times  like they are thankful and understand each fan counts and not their egos or wallet size.
