Not all band members need be present at every rehearsal.

This is the only plausible possiblity that Thal could be in the band; Fortus covered Bumble's part at the rehearsal in his absence. Hence Richard's email would be accurate.

It is possible, but i'm not betting on the possiblity.

I would eat my hat if it were Kim Thayil. Soundgarden was great but Thayil isn't that great of a guitarist. Certainly not up to the caliber of Guns. I would consider him a few notches below Robin, take that for what it's worth.

Worth plenty as his style has nothing in common with GnR's. And he isn't that great of a soloist.

Strigl was just guestimating the chances of each guy being in the band...he doesn't know anymore than us but it's cool that there is at least some kinda list we can check off of

Bryan Kehoe is currently recording an album with his own band (as of march 1, 2006)
