Just to further proove Ron wasnt at the rehearsal friday night, this is from one of the guys in Bumblefoot:

Quote
We went on at 10:30 and were done around 11:40.

Setlist was:

Can't Take My Eyes Off Of You
Real
Turn Around
Rockstar For A Day
Overloaded
Don Pardo Pimpwagon
The Color Of Justice
Guitars suck
What I Knew
Life inside your ass
T-Jonez
Thank You

We also threw in "Swatting Flies" (per audience's request) and a *slightly* loose version of "Guitars Still Suck" (which is still in the works). Don't remember exactly where in the set those were, tho...

Fortus doesnt return emails that fast, plus even if he did, he was probably joking about it was him.

I wouldn't be surprised if it is Darrell Roberts, Ajax Garcia or Joshua Craig.

BigBoss talked to Roberts; he is not the guy.

Ajax may have never been considered.

Joshua Craig maybe a possiblity, although i'm leaning toward a new rhythm player now.

The only thing we know for certain is that it will be someone who can handle Buckethead's parts.  From the soundclip on the Trunk radio, although the sound quality was awful, you could tell that whoever the new man is can play with a lot of speed  peace

That was Richard, not a new guy.

um, it could be just Richard's first solo. ya know the one he always plays when playing nightrain. It'd be nothing new if it were the case.

He was shredding, which proves they dont need a 3rd guitarist.

Axl said they had a new guitarist.

I'm still thinking its got to be someone most people will recognize.  I consider myself to be a fairly knowledgeable rock fan and don't know most of the names people are throwing out.  If it was a non-mainstream guitarist I don't know why it'd be such a big secret.  I'm hoping when whoever this guy is comes out on stage I scream "HOLY SHIT IT'S (insert name)" and not "WHO IS THAT?"

i think that moment will be one of the most spectacular and exciting in gnr history. smoking

I would have never considered the guy, but I own the claypool DVD and if it's the guy i'm thinking of, he's certainly a capable player...definitely a bit of an oddball..

I've seen Kehoe a bunch of times with MIRV, Kehoe Nation, and with Les... He also played briefly with Ministry, and with Jerry Cantrell. Brain played with him in MIRV so he probably got him the audition. He's a good guitarist and songwriter, a great performer, but not really a shredder like Buckethead. He would definitely be an interesting addition to the band, but he would bring a totally different sound and vibe...
