actually i didn't know that Izzy and morrissey connection and I'm actually shocked but I'd like to hear it....but then again Izzy has alot different personallity than Axl too. Axl stood for all that was bloated 80's-90's Rock. Izzy was always laid back quiet and cool.

Actually ppbebe, I didn't know that you liked The The....well i guessed when you mentioned Marr...but I know alot of Smiths, Morressey, Marr fans. and a couple of them are really good freinds of mine (They keep me in check and don't let my Rocker side get out of control Cheesy ) And you are right prolly not alot of people know who we are talking about. thats ok though they'll deal with it hihi peace

Marc Ford is a little busy with The Black Crowes. What I saw of him playing with them in January he would be a good choice actually.

True but aren't the Robinson brothers doing an acoustic tour as a duo right now? I saw them last year and Ford tore it up!  ok

Their site just lists a bunch of dates, I didnt check the news section, but when I saw them they gave the impression that it would be a full band tour. Ford would be a solid choice, between The Black Crowes and all the different styles he had to play with Ben Harper, he can play practically anything.

I'm actually one of the rare fans of both Axl and Morrissey..... and some of you may remember, years ago Morrissey commented in several interviews about Axl - and it wasn't favorable.  I think he basically called him an idiot and his music crap on more than one occasion.  But hey - Johnny Marr hates Morrissey so maybe he and Axl could work together.  Smiley

Of course, there was also the rumored connection between the two at the Academy Awards when people were saying they were both sitting at the same table at Elton John's after party.  But that never materialized.

If someone from the Smiths joined GN'R, then I'd really question it. The Smiths were garbage, and I blame them for starting emo!

Hey, you like the Smiths, I think they suck, its a difference of taste. Morrissey pisses me off to no end, and I'd be pretty damn upset if someone from that band became a member of Guns.

One more off-topic post before getting this mofo back on track:

I downloaded a cover of How Soon Is Now a long time ago by Love Spit Love I think (featuring Mr. Richard Fortus no less), and I couldn't even tell you how the riff goes - so no, not everyone knows the riff from "How Soon Is Now!"  ok

On-topic: So um...yeah....Paul Gilbert...likely? No?  hihi

It starts out with .... "I am the sun....and the air"
and the chorus goes

"Shut your mouth - how can you say I go about things the wrong way"
"I am human and I need to be loved, just like everybody else does"

And to respond to the earlier post - Morrissey was the lead singer of the Smiths.   confused

No - someone was talking about Johnny Marr as the new guitarist.  Also not gonna happen.

Morrissey in GNR is funnier though....can you imagine?
